HLR Weekly Hot Lap Comp - That's it folks, FINAL results posted

Thought it was time to see how many people want a Hot Lap challenge. This series will continue to run as long as we see an appetite for it from the community.

In the coming weeks we’ll be choosing different Tracks and Homologated Car Divisions for you to run. Hopefully we can get to run everyone’s favourite tracks and cars by the end.

Here are the Rules:

To take part you just need to post your time, set during the week, in this thread.

Drivers will be split into 3 tiers depending on their times set at each HLC:

1 Unbeatable
2 Professional
3 Expert

Prizes each week will be awarded to the following people:

1 Fastest Unbeatable driver - 6 million Credits and a paint for their car.
2 Fastest Professional driver - 4 million Credits and a paint for their car
3 Fastest Expert driver - 2 million Credits and a paint for their car.
4 Tuner’s Prize - 4 million Credits and a paint for any Tuner posting a time and sharing a setup that is driven by another competitor and registering on the leaderboard at the end of the week.

Credit wins unclaimed by 11 pm GMT on the following Saturday will be voided.

New drivers will join a tier for the following week’s HLC dependant on the time they set. They can only win tier 1 in their first week.

Winners of tiers 2 and 3 wll be promoted to the tier above.

Losers of tiers 1 and 2 will be relegated to the tier below, unless their time is better than the winner of the Tier below.

If a driver does not post a time they will not be relegated. Only the slowest actual time in tiers 1 and 2 will be relegated.

I do love a good HLC -

Just for fun, ran 5 laps on the track 2:39.552 No1 in Europe by 5 seconds. No 2 in the world but still 2 seconds behind that time - that’s quite the spread lol.

You guys will absolutely destroy that time by the end - I practically stopped by the wall at the bottom of the hill - can never get braking on that corner right for some reason.

My first car out of the garage is my Station, I need to improve on this tune a little but I was able to get a #4 @ 2:39.868. This tune is shared, older tune, but could be a little more stable probably.

Still, even if it’s short lived I’m happy to be on the 1st page! Still many cars and tunes to try. Thanks again for bringing these back out, Moss. Hope all is well with you and yours!!

I’m in, just tuned two cars in this class.
I like this division so should be fun.

I’ll post a few times next time I’m on Moss, but I won’t get as close as I did in Horizon 3

2:29.089 - 2001 Acura Integra Type-R - Currently #1 … I can find more time but I’m happy as a 1st try at this.

Great time for everyone to shoot at, thanks for running it. I haven’t tried the Integra yet but anticipate one or two of these cars will be quite closely matched. I’ve been running the 1990 MX-5 which I’ll share my setup for shortly. I just wish I had more confidence through the chicane LOL.

Welcome back with the HLC’s Moss! I’ll give them a go but will be way off the pace in FM7 compared to Horizon, but will still be a load of fun I’m sure… thanks for getting them going again.

Great to see these come back, Moss!
Just put A Dodge Neon at 2:38.490. Honestly a lot better than I thought that car was going to do.

Great to see you again. Pretty good time for the Neon, I’m sure you’ll be quicker in some of the other cars.

Just tried my Alfa Spider - beat old No 1 time now 2:37.429 - gears need some work bit too long, should be able to improve that.

Nice time Im2Mad4You - lots of quick drivers in Europe it would seem - even though I’ve managed to beat the old No1 time, I’m now 5th in Europe & the World. Funny I improve my time by 2 seconds and I’m now 6 seconds behind the guy in front!

Let’s hope I can stay top 100 by the end!

We’ll see how many turn out but I expect to see a completely new first page of the leaderboard LOL. You can give my 1990 MX-5 a spin when I get it posted. I’ll open source it in this thread shortly for you to play with.

2.30.322 in a riced out 240sx

Nice time Rusty

It’s great to see the highly anticipated HLC come to FM7. I’ll be giving this some time. I’ve currently put a 92 Silvia up to #5 world wide with a 2:33.873.

Fiddled with the gears and had another run at it - still in the Alfa for now.

Back in 5th overall 2:32.983 - scuffed a wall or two, so should be able to go quicker again if I can sort my driving out.

Will build up a Mazda, always good to have options. Thanks Moss
