Help with Honda CRX Mugen

I’m trying to build/tune this up to B600. I’m having a heck of a time. I’ve tried all of the engine swaps and running the stock engine and I can’t get anything I like.

What I’m doing is building it, test driving and then using the troubleshooting section of the tuning guide that is posted here. I’m just having trouble getting something solid.

Any advice on where to focus the attention on this one?? I’m kinda new to FWD…

Here’s the best I’ve come up with. I’m running about 2:06 on Prague Full - R.

The Build:

Conversion:
Supercharger (stock engine and drivetrain)

Engine:
Race Air, Race Exhaust, Race Valves, Race Pistons, Race Supercharger

P&H:
All Race

Drivetrain:
Sport Transmission, Race Differential

Tires/Rims:
Race Compound, 225 Front and back, TRAKLITE 2.0 Rims, 14" Front Rim

Aero:
Forza Front Bumper and Wing

The Tune:

27.5
28.0

4.85 Final Drive

-3.1
-2.5
0.0
-0.1
1.0 (this seems odd but felt better than a high number…is it because it’s FWD??)

359.4
4.8
5.2

11.6

You can either download the tune under my GT (Flavaham), the tune is named “BEST I CAN DO” haha, because it really was the best I got all night. Or, use the source above to tweak away and let me know what you did.

Thanks for checking it out!

First thing to try is increase the diff. accel. to 80 or more. Also increase the front downforce/decrease the rear till they are equal or the front is greater.

Not sure what you mean here. The highest I can put the front is 100 and the lowest I can put the rear is 115.

The stock gearbox is also worth a look.

Can you elaborate on that a bit? Thanks

That car is just a bit of an oddball concerning downforce. The majority of Forza aero is 50 min. on front, 75 min. on rear.
Anyway just max. Out the front and minumum on the rear, so that would be 100/115.

Ok. Thanks!

after 20 laps using your settings i managed a 2:05.3

the car was too nervous on the front end , so here are the changes i made to help add more grip to the front and calm the nose down

arbs : 11.00 front , 13.00 rear
ride height : 5.0 front , 5.2 rear
damping rebound : 11.6 front and rear , 2.0 front bump , 2.5 rear bump
aero : 100 front, 115 rear
differential 75% accel, 50% decel

after only 10 laps i managed a 2:03.929 with out cutting the curbs on the first small section of s’s

(edit : after completing the 20 lap run i finished with a 2:02.958 )

Below is a tune I opened sourced a few months ago.
At the time it managed a top 100 on Road Atlanta Club in the hands of Holty.

The diff was set much lower than I would normally do for a FWD , but I was faster with it there.

Since I have used this tune online at Road Atlanta Full with good results .

In any case give it a try and tweak away .

Hope it helps .
