Trying to recreate the logo of the Ottawa Senators in Forza 5, about 99% finished a vinyl group of the logo, I just have one last part that seems to allude me. The black laurels/decoration on the visor portion of the helmet:
I’ve been tinkering with it but can’t seem to find anything I like or anything that looks right and it is bugging me since I’m so close to being finished lol. So, does anyone have any ideas on how I can get this made nicely? (The thing that really bugs me is each is shaped differently which means I can’t just up and re-size the whole thing and stamp it down.)
Hi there! I think I may have an easy solution for you. In the “Community Vinyls 1” menu on the second row from the left, very bottom, there is a teardrop shape. If you mess around with the size and skew of it, then layer another over it and add a “Primitives” square on the upper rounded edge it gives you the effect seen on your example.
Since I know seeing it written probably doesn’t make much sense, here’s a picture to show what I mean:
The shape on the left shows how it will look when colored to match your background (With arrows pointing out where the two layered teardrops and the square are) and the one on the left shows each layer a different color to make it easy to see. Without too much fuss you should be able to use the Skew function to make the slight variations in the curves on each one. Hope that helps!
