I need some help.
Everything was fine with FM5 untill last Friday. First the game wouldn’t start anymore. I did a clear cache and the problem seemed to be solved.
But now there is another problem. When playing, sometimes after 1 minute, sometimes after 30 minutes there is no more sound in the game, but there is this hard humming sound.
I can continue to play untill the game needs to load something and then it freezes completely. The console doesn’t freeze, only the game.
I re-installed the game, same problem.
I used a different account, same problem.
The console works fine, I can watch Dvd’s, use the apps like YouTube, … I just can’t play FM5 anymore.
The last thing I can try is a complete system reset, but then I will lose my savegame, cars, vinyls …
Maybe someone can help me? Sorry for my English, it is not my first language.
the x1 runs two operating systems at the same time so some of the stuff working and a game not working dosn’t automatically mean its the game not the hardware. that humming and sound issue would indicate more of a hardware or firmware problem than game software. my guess is your x1 is not fine. i would call the customer service number in the x1 manual asap so they can help you get it sorted out and or aa replacment before the warranty expires. they may even have a deal with a local retialer to exchange it to save time and shipping costs. then just recover your account to the new console and you shouldn’t lose anything.
to me it sounds like your hard drive is going out. second guess would be over heating.
i know this sounds simple but have you tried a hard re-boot?
when the console is on turn it off by pressing the xbox logo with your finger (not the controller) until it turns off, usually you will have to keep your finger on the xbox logo for about 7 seconds until it turns off.
then wait a few minutes and turn it back on.
