Hello . I am 50 years old and just bought my daughter the Xbox one. The only console I have ever tried is the wii. Any way I bought Forza Horizon 3 . Looks really good and a little to challenging . My problem is where I have to race the Ferrari right near the beginning I end up loosing him and can never find him again to race him . I want to get to the spot where I can choose one of the 4 cars . The lambo it comes with is to powerful for

At the beginning, you have to play with what they give you.
Are you saying you can’t get to the spot where you choose your first car, out of the 4?
Once you pick one of those cars, there’ll be some races and stuff around Byron Bay, no where else. You have to do all events to get enough fans to expand your festival. Then after expanding, it give you some more to do. Rinse and repeat, most everything unlocks at festival 2, level 2. But you get new things to do after each festival opened (4 in total) and with each level you increase each festival (each festival goes to level 5)
Look at the top of the screen when playing to see if it’s wanting you to do something specific.

Yes. I haven’t made it to the spot to choose one of the 4 cars. Last time when we met up I let him go first and tried to keep up and he kept doing the same route as I was hoping he would just race to the finish. When ever I tried to beat him in previous races he would turn when I was ahead and could never meet up again using that little square at the top.

yes , I used the email password xbox made me get, I don’t know where ruthless panda came from unless the forum gave me that… When I submitted the first question it said it had to go to moderator so maybe they assigned that but I would not have choosen that name. Sorry I didn’t notice that but have used the same email to log in each time
I believe when you sign up for an Xbox live account, it assigns a random gamer tag that you can change one time.
Back to your issue, can you go to where you choose 1 of 4 cars and just go ahead and get one? Or are you saying since you didn’t beat the Ferrari that you can’t advance? As far as I know, you don’t need to beat that Ferrari.
I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to get to the spot to get to choose your first car. I thought by YouTube you had to beat the Ferrari to get the car and I can’t even keep up with him and I loose him and can’t catch him
The spot is on the beach, east edge of map.
Since you a basically brand new to the game, you could always delete your save file, from everywhere, restart console from system menu and start the game again. This will let you enter the game as if you’ve never played before.
Your save file can be found by hitting the menu button (small button to the right of the Xbox button) while horizon 3 icon on dashboard is highlighted, and select manage game. Then scroll to saved gamed, find yours and hit A, it’ll bring up a menu asking what to do.
thanks, I thought to get to the beach I had to race him to the beach, again thank for helping this old fart. I will try and delete and start again but I think after I race the jeep in the helicopter again it will make me race the Ferrari.
You don’t have to beat the helicopter to progress, and you’ll always be able to re run that particular showcase.
As for the Ferrari, I was think it’s the first car they have you race as you are pulling in to town in the Lamborghini (could be wrong, it’s been awhile since I started that game from the beginning), but it shouldn’t be required to beat that Ferrari either.
CR - you are correct! If I recall correctly, on the map you’ll get a notification that the rival-the LaFerrari is in the area, you have to be around the downtown area or within that vicinity to catch them, and then initiate the race. I believe you have to beat the Ferrari, but it’s also not difficult as long as you don’t crash etc, eventually the AI Ferrari will let you win.
also, if you have the steering and braking settings on “assisted” the car will auto-brake and try to steer you around the roundabout instead of going straight over it, and it will auto-brake for turns that you don’t need to brake for, all of which cost you precious seconds. You need to race the Ferrari along the main road, not onto the beach. You need to beat the car in order to progress, after which you’ll be guided to the beach to choose your new car. If you lose the race, you’ll need to drive back to the spot where you started the race (the big yellow circle) and do it again until you win.
