Hey all,
Gauging interest to see if it’s worthwhile to start painting again. Used to paint and drift a lot back in FM2 & FM3. Picked up Horizon 3 and it’s great so far but I’m not sure if there’s as much community involvement as before.

Coming from about the same timeframe as you, the community is not quite what we remember, especially with the inability to share and collaborate like we could back then. BUT… I’m pretty sure that others would agree with me that the “Forza Dark Ages” are behind us and the overall community involvement is on the upswing again. Every other week or so, it seems that there are one or two old faces resurfacing. Some of the teams have come back, now with larger numbers. In my opinion, you’ve come back just at the right time to hopefully be part of the second Golden Age! Paint away and be part of it! LOL

I actually just picked up FH3 a couple days ago and caught the paint bug, so I’ll definitely be putting out a few paints within the week. Not sure if you remember all the ULD, NSTY, and other drift teams from that time but those were definitely the days. Hopefully we can start getting more community involvement moving forward!
Welcome back sir! The Community involvement in nowhere near what I once was (FM2-FM4) but I’m sure that if you look hard enough you can find a nice group of people to enjoy the game with.

Super noob question for anyone else reading this thread, but before we were able to gift “logo cars” that had unlocked paints with logo groups on them. I’m just wondering if I have to individually re-paint all of these logos, or if I could get gifted/buy a logo car like in the old days?
I have had conversations with a small number of painters and we all very much miss the ability to gift and the logo cars that circulated back then. Unfortunately, that’s gone for FM3. However, in the spirit of the idea, you can download others’ vinyls and actually open them in the editor to trace them for your own use. It’s actually encouraged by a number of guys. Hopefully gifting will return in future Forza titles.
