I keep on encountering this problem when I try racing at night. Doesn’t happen every time, but it does every now and then. Also, anyone else still getting greyed-out liveries?

Let’s hope the patch fixes the liveries. 
This is a big deal considering people still sell exclusive work in the AH.
I don’t have any problems with headlights not working, though.
I would like to see when I go into tunnels please.

I only use dash cam so I dunno if it works but a friend of mine found that headlight won’t turn on if you join the race with hood cam on some cars so try joining race with another cam visual then switch to hood cam…

I wouldn’t hold your breath this has been broken since the game came out along with a lot of other things that TURN 10 don’t fix or communicate with the fans about.

Yes I too have experienced my fair share of headlights not working as well. Sometimes the headlights only come on when touching the brakes. Sometimes they don’t work at all. Also the lights in tunnels of certain tracks seem to have a mind of their own. Specifically Dubai, sometimes the tunnel lights provide light and sometimes they don’t. Sure hope Turn 10 patches these things, but I am not going to hold my breath. Although we shouldn’t have to do this , adjusting your TV settings can help with some of these lighting issues. The GREY liveries bug is also reeking havoc at epic proportions while browsing thru my garage of cars.

in Forza 6 they had turned the lights always on, but with no effect in day race or in tunnels
now some cars have the lights turned off again in day races in front but sometimes the rear lights still on??
but all cars have the interior lights on

should ask the people at playground they always know when lights are on or off 
It’s a glitch with switching cars before a night race. If you switch cars after being loaded into the night environment, the headlights will not come on. So if you’re playing online and the next race is at night, you have to stay in the car you drove last race to have working headlights.
I don’t think Turn 10 is aware of this glitch so more people should post about it.

I encountered that headlights bug as well, but also that some cars dont have rearlights on which in night races is also a no no.
I thought that their rearlights were just very dim, but then i saw that they actually are not even on.
Lights in general are too weak in this game, starting with brakelights. I find that GT Sport has the best looking tail and brake lights effects. Its rich and full and it pops.
I’m sure its not that big of a deal to up the brightness and intensity in FM7.

Yeah I’ve encountered this periodically.
There is a bit of a fix for it, if you notice in the pits before the race that your cars lights aren’t on, then they won’t be on during the race.
If you change to a different car in the same division the lights should magically come on

This is going on since…I don’t know, beginning of 2018? Nobody has ever done anything about it.

The headlights work on an on/off basis. Sometimes your headlights would be off and the AI cars have theirs on. Sometimes its the other way around. Sometimes you would have your rear parking lights on and no bumper or front headlights on. Sometimes you and a few other cars would have headlights working while all others either have theirs off completely or just the brake parking lights. Really bizarre set of issues.
As for liveries, only issues I’ve had a few times is selecting a livery, and when the race begins or when I launch the game again, the car’s reverted to its stock paintjob.
Now speaking the truth is considered trolling, sigh. Guess my other thread about another bug(which is a huge bug) in the technical section is also trolling as well since it was completely ignored. These bugs have been in the game for months(just google them) and it’s safe to say after that they will stay in the game indefinitely.

If you have track limits- ribbon on you don’t need headlights.
You do if you don’t want to smash into the other cars
