I’ve been readjusting the HDR settings for about a month now and continue to get this issue. Every once in a while it will randomly look a little more balanced, but very rarely. It’s just way too bright, but only in specific areas. No other game I have with HDR (Forza Horizon 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefield V, Witcher 3, Etc.) this issue. I would really like to be able to enjoy Forza Motorsport 7, but the random brightness like this is just unbearable at times.
I too notice glare from the sun does make white colored cars look a little like the screenshot you have posted at certain areas of the track but not to the extend you have. I’m guessing you have already turned off dynamic contrast / contrast enhancer from your TV’s settings. It is important for these features to stay turned off for HDR Games. TV’s picture should be calibrated per Xbox recommendation. In game under options< video there are options to adjust the brightness an HDR accordingly. I’m guessing you are familiar with this too.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t have dynamic contrast or any setting like that on on my tv and I’ve adjusted and readjusted these in game settings many times. Very rarely do I get it to where it isn’t this extreme, but the next time I boot the game up again it’s like that again.
