I took a break for a few months. When I stopped playing I was on Xbox SERIES/S, and was having a lot of issues. i.e. waiting for some times 10 min or longer to start even the 1st race and the next race when doing Ranked/Unranked, Trial or whatever. I am now playing on the SERIES/X, and I installed the game yesterday, and the game is playing so much better. My cars sounds so much better, and are handling much better, and the race events no longer take 20 min or longer to complete. Even the syncing which took a long time on the S are no more… I was even shocked that I lost nothing except for the cars I had in the AH. All my stats, credits, cars nothing was missing. So I was just wondering if there were improvements or is it because I am now playing the X? Thanks.
Nothing’s been done to the game for a few years now. It’s probably the fact that you’re playing on better hardware.
That is what I thought too, I just wanted to be sure. I figured as much because there have been no new cars added to Backstage which is a shame. What’s the point getting Backstage Passes when you have every single car. Makes absolutely no sense at all. I can’t remember what this symbol means that show on some of the cars. It’s a white box with an arrow pointing down in a color box. I just can’t remember what that means. Thanks.

Were you running the xbox one version when you used the series S? That would explain some of it.
As a matter of fact I was. When I got the S which I regret getting. After installing the game I kept it on the 1 which caused nothing but issues. Both consoles were conflicting with each other. After I uninstalled from the 1, the S was still causing major problems. When I installed on my X I could not recall if I had uninstalled it from the S. I must have because when I launched I did not get the msg that it was on another console. On my 1st post I spoke to soon about the events taking so long to complete. The PG’s are still taking a long time between races which is the only event doing it. I did it yesterday and it took about a half hour. Are you or anyone else having audio issues as far as the volume goes? This was even happening on my other consoles. I go to the Menu and then returning to Freeroam the volume gets real loud. Happens every time.
I see very variable load times, a huge delays starting events. It seems pretty clear that they’re not really supporting FH4, and the result is a terrible player experience. I know it’s never been very good, but at the moment it’s close to unplayable online for most things. As I only recently came back to FH4 (after playing it mainly single player, and playing a fair amount of FH5 online), it’s super disappointing.
I have been getting stuck in PG games for sometimes 20 or more minutes waiting for the screen to load for the next challenge. Not to mention ranked is hard to get into now. In addition, their is no moderation of modders or hackers, which makes pg games and ranked kind of pointless a lot of times now when they do work. Really pushed me back to the single player mode and tuning aspect of the game. That is where I have had a lot of fun sticking with FH4, but I wish they still did a bit of house cleaning once in a while. Especially when you get into a lobby and have to wait an hour, yes nearly and hour, for the second race in ranked to load!!
May I ask you about another issue I now have as of today? It is my VIP Pass, which is showing installed, but I no longer own the VIP House. I click on the free purchase, Manage you own it pops up. I click on it, it says I must purchase the game. I just came back after almost taking a whole year off, and just back the Winter Season before last. I am still having huge delays times. Just the other day I registered for the Unranked Adventure, and I left after 10 min waiting for the 1st race to start. I don’t know why I even bother because I always get matched to the Red Team, and I end up with the worth of the worth players which doesn’t help me at all. Instead of gaining points I keep losing points almost every time. Once in awhile I get lucky and gain a few points. If that is you I see buying some of my cars I thank you.
I just started playing FH4 after almost being off a year. I just came back about a month a month ago. I just got fed up with the game because for me it was getting so boring same oh, same oh week after week. I thought maybe the game had some improvements but nothing has changed. Just the other day I entered a Unranked Adventure, and left waiting 10 min for the 1st race to start. Also I don’t even know why I bother because I am almost always matched with the Red Team, and I am stuck with the worse of the worse players. Almost every time I lose points instead of gaining points. I do the PG only to complete it for the Seasonal. This time it was only 1 on 1 and I did not score any points as usual. The lobby is that at the very beginning of the race that shows the team? I wish we could mute all voice chat. It is so irritating when say doing the Trial you have to listen to players chatting or some player is not chatting, but is using a mic that is not muted and you heard that weird breathing noise. I have to go silent which I don’t like. Why are we still getting Backstage Passes? The cars that are in the Back Stage have not changed since I left. There is nothing to purchase. I do play by myself except for the seasonal events. Have you purchased some of my cars, and if you have thank you.
You just summed up I think everyones experiences lately. It’s why I have just been playing fh5 and doing the fh4 on thursdays. I don’t tune or do much else as of late. I actually leave my mic on during playground so I can talk smack to the cheaters lol. I can’t stand watching people doing 300 mph in an a800 car or flying. It’s annoying to me.
