Have cars like the Escalade, Hummer, Limo, etc, been banned from racing online? [see post #52]

Im glad they are gone. Not because it will clean up the lobbies but because it shows T10 is at least trying. I would much rather have ghosting implemented more but this is a start. Who knows maybe with some more tweaks to this the trucks will come back into MP and we can have clean races.

Side note… if it takes 6 moths to make a car (like you said it did pre release) please dont ever waste ur time on a limo or other vehicles that are 100% not track worthy. If you want trucks create the ford lightnings or the SRT 10 dodge ram. Heck bring in a few Ute’ but for pete sake at least attempt to make it after feasible race vehicle.

This.

It’s the first phase of hopefully many. Perhaps it means that we can be tougher on any trolls that remain because removing the openness and accessibility and freedom will put many off bothering, if they actually have to expend more effort to do it. Those that continue to troll will most likely be serial offenders that plague the community which we’d be better off without for good!

I also think it’s inappropriate to have cars like limos available, it only encourages trolls more. I’m welcoming the variety of cars, and extra race cars which I much prefer, but there’s often a recipe for disaster in the packs too.

Can I get my money back on DLC cars I’ve paid for and can now barely use?

Does Gurkhas apply here?

Any car over a certain weight I believe, assuming the cars aren’t blacklisted by name.

I’m with Johnson, Im glad turn10 is trying to do something and I have seen some pretty good race in last couple of weeks. Also these big cars clog up racing line and add pressure to bottlenecks and first turns.

I for one actually enjoyed the larger vehicles, I only used them in the ghost c class race and was surprised how good some are.

Thanks t10 for spoiling the fun yet again.

If this is there idea of implementing fixes this will be my last ever t10 game I buy. Even if it had all my dream cars.

Have they rmoved them from all MP?

If so wow.

They should be allowed in ghost races.

It’s not all of them, hell they haven’t even un banned the mini but instead they mess things up by banning the more hard to tune vehicles and ruined my fun. They better put out some seriously good car packs and dlc or its bye bye end of and that means uninstalling the game and not touch any of there games at all.

The cars are not “banned” they just aren’t allowed pending future tweaks. We shouldn’t let this get out of hand. It is a very simple thing to mess up the pleasure of racing competition when three or four Friends get together in the same race, and are running a Limo, two Range Rovers and a Hummer - all intent on blocking and wrecking.

This won’t totally curtail the crashers, but it will make it much more difficult for the offenders to dominate in such an illegal way.

My problem is I’ve paid for DLC (Limo) with the intent of racing it online. Now I’m left with something I can only use in test drive and the mundane free play…

iys t10s rash decisions that just get on my nerves. Sometimes I just need to vent my frustration and I just can’t hold words back sometimes.

I like to go to football games and start a tennis match in the stands. There are no specific rules against this in any literature I’ve ignored. Sure, other people don’t like it but it’s what I think is fun, and my fun is more important than anything.

Sometimes I like to light babies on fire, too but since they banned lighters from being brought into the stadium I’ve had to stop that.

Gee, thanks NFL for ruining my fun!.

Counter argument to this: you wouldn’t see an entire block of supporters removed from a football game if one spectator punched a few people.

Maybe not one spectator, but “playing behind closed doors” is a common punishment in football.

yeah but they’re not very well regulated if you look at Man City vs. CSKA Moscow a couple of years ago

Holy cow guy! You really need to stop acting like playing this game with a Vandura equates you to being a tennis playing, pyromaniac, baby killer…going to extremes does not help your argument, especially when it’s just your opinion.

I personally drove the Vandura, Transit Van, and the SRT Cherokee alot and not to crash, but to have fun. They all wear race (T Van/SRT) or sport (Dura) tires. They all have weight reduction, full race suspension, brakes, cage. None were “rockets” and they all are…or were…quite competitive.

I hope this temp ban starts a change with people’s attitudes and they can be added back, because opposed to whoever stated earlier, you cannot blame the equipment for the person in or behind it; as the case of weapons, they cannot injure or kill someone unless you aim and pull the trigger…same with a vehicle, it’s not going to ram into anything on purpose without the input from whoever is controlling it.

The cars were not the problem, it was the buttheads driving them in crash teams. If you don’t believe thats the case go talk to anyone who raced in the Can-Am Leagues. That was a crashfest as people were trying entirely too hard to get that Ferrari…no SUVs, Vans or Trucks in sight, but MClarens, Chaparrals, Lolas and Nissans were flying in the air everywhere.

If removing them from the hoppers is a first salvo fired in the fight against crash/grief teams so be it, just don’t act like we all drove them like that or that the lobbies are going to instantly become clean…because it’s not gonna happen.

I wonder how long this temp ban was done before this was noticed and the OP posted? I got a fairly small update yesterday when I started up as well as a console update. I don’t know if it was then or weeks ago? I would laugh if was weeks ago.
