Over the last few nights i have noticed a new bump on this track. At the very start of the braking zone into the last chicane on the track, ‘Virage Du Chemin Aux Bouefs’ is what they seem to be called.
Never had any problems with it until recently, it has caught me out a couple of times now, and others from what i have seen. Hitting what was my normal spot for braking now causes the car to dive, buck and want to ping towards the right hand signage. I have had to change how i approach these bends. Currently slight breaking, coast over dip, back on full brakes.
Not complaing at all, makes for a more challenging experience. Just i could swear the dip wasnt there before, at least not as severe.
I’ve noticed it as well recently, but just assumed that it was because I have been driving a different car and its effected differently. Maybe it was added during one of the updates???
Lou i also first noticed it in a different car and class, i at first put it down to that, possibly an increased braking distance. But i then had the same reaction from my fav car in my favoured class, i then put it down to me, just getting better, carrying more speed through the previous right hander.
Watching the cars in front of me, diving of the track to the right, made me consider asking around. Last night it was a great spot for picking up positions
Couldn’t say I have noticed any difference recently. Recently been doing the 1970’s Grand Prix Series and, seeing as they are very twitchy cars, alot of tracks have new bumps to me. Mind you, I really do not like the Bugatti track.
Could it be that you’re noticing it a lot more now after the update that affects the front suspension when it comes to downloaded tunes? If you’re using downloaded tunes, chances are that it is the reason, even though I don’t know why you’d notice it more on Bugatti than on any other track. For info on the update I’m talking about (if you didn’t already know about it), see Forza Motorsport Week in Review 5-9-14.
Most likely this. Stock damper settings take that particular series of bumps very well, but the popular (and mostly effective) high rebound and low bump settings take this bump very poorly.
It has always been there. Some of my first draft tunes bounce under braking there and have done since day one. Foot describes the cause and solution well.
Yep this is what I was gonna say. That dip has always been there it’s just more noticeable in certain cars and tunes. If you hit it just right under braking it will send you off course.
I was aware of the tune issue, figured i avoided that due to just downloading and installing. Never been one for loading saved tunes. If i use different tunes on the same cars, i buy new cars for them. Due to having next to no recall or memory, i have a colour coded system, one colour for grip, one for speed, and so forth. I’ve done that since the original forza. I may have to go through them again, just to be sure.
Kinda surprised i havent noticed those bumps at all in the last 5 months, i may also have an issue with observation.
If you’re racing in lower classes and the drivatars are in front wheel drive cars, when they hit that braking zone, many of them lose front splitters and bodywork. They literally endo into the braking zone. I have some videos of it somewhere, i’ll have to dig them out. This has been happening on my copy since day 1.
Like everyone else it has been there all the time, the thing that annoys me at this track (and it only happens on this track) is the game stutters going down from the Dunlop Curve to Virage de la Chapelle and the straight from Virage de Musee to Virage du Garage Vert
