SEVERAL OF THE DOWNLOADED LIVERIES I HAVE NEVER SHOW IN THE CAR SHOWDOWN/GARAGE. INSTEAD THE CAR LOOKS GREY (STILL OK WHILE DRIVING IT). IS THIS HAPPENING TO EVERYBODY? I NOTICED THEY FIXED THAT BUT NOW THERE IS THE GARAGE PROBLEM.
ALSO, THE LAST FEW RACES I NOTICE THAT I CANNOT SEE OTHERS LIVERIES (AND I HAVE THIS OPTION ACTIVATED!). FOR INSTANCE, IN THE LAST FORZATHRON, THE RALLY RACE ALL VW BEETLES HAD THE ROCKSTAR LIVERY…

This happened to me with the Nissan R390. After the race the car lost its downloaded design as soon as the garage screen came up. I’m on the Xbox One S.
same for me , some of the halloween prizes made by LittleVixen are lost … the cars are grey…

Same with me, they usually appear back on the car after quitting a race and loading into the garage screen for me, but some are just all over grey.

I didn’t use to have this problem, but I’ve noticed it more and more in my garage as well.

Yes, the liveries are there and when you actually drive they show up but not in garage. I sometimes just like to go through the garage checking the liveries and changing some of them…its so tedious to constantly apply the same liveries to the same cars all over again…
At least I start to see some others liveries while I play in career mode…

yup same here. nothing new to me though. seen it for a while. it seems it accures more often on duplicated cars with liveries for me. (xboxone)
I’ve also started to get this issue again (Xbox One X).
Same here, more often now my Garage [XBone].
I’m discovering more and more cars in my garage with this ugly grey paint job.

PC version. Happens to me as well. Not as much as before the update though. It removes liveries and turns gray. One turned gray on me while I was looking at it in the dealership and it crashed the game.
I didn’t have this problem when others were initially having it. Now it is almost constantly happening. Basically with just a single pass thru my garage nearly every livery turns into PRIMER base coat.
EDIT: I play on XBOX ONE black console version. MY THEORY is this may be a syncing issue from people importing liveries and or decal groups from previous games. I say this because I have one livery which I believe was created during and on the FM 7 version. This one particular livery doesn’t ever seem to grey out.
I thought about that when my game started greying out my liveries. So I recreated a few of my FM5 and FM6 liveries in FM7. Those still grey out for me. So, back to the drawing board on how to find a temporary fix that doesn’t include reloading the liveries every time I want to use the car, as my cars stay greyed in the races too. I’m on the Original Xbox One.
Another idea I had about the issue, is it seems to happen when my garage starts to scroll faster (similar speed to the Buy Cars area). When the garage scrolling is laggy beyond all ****, none of the cars seem to revert back to a “testing” livery. Just a thought.

Many people were talking about this issue with the old patch. No problem for me then. It all started after installing the latest.
Just encountered this problem recently when the Aventador from the halloween bash went grey, but luckily the livery was back the next day. Just for the fun of it: the Jaguar F-Type went white when chosen for the Forzathon. LOL.
Xbox One X user here, cars were all grey yesterday and today.
How hard can it really be to fix this ?
I’m on PC, and it happens every other day. Sometimes the ghost car will have the paintjob, sometimes the trophy display at the end of a race will have a paintjob, but the car at the race ready screen, and in-race won’t.
Same issue. I’ve even had a livery for another car (probably a Mazda, because it had Mazda decals) on my Ford Fiesta Hoonigan. I didn’t even download a livery for that car.
Also have greyed out cars, but with decals. Must be a 50 shades of grey-lover working for Turn10.
and no answers about this problem in more than a month… i lost interest on making liveries in this game
