Sometimes steering wheel doesn’t disappear when switching from cockpit to driver camera (although driver’s arms are not visible).
It seems this bug mainly occurs during practice sessions.
First two screenshots were captured with FoV set to 65 degrees, on PC/Steam. The third is from Xbox Series X with default FoV (my colleague reported the same issue).
Funny how in a right seated car the mirror is still a left hand drive one.

It turned out the issue occurs not only in practice sessions. It happened during multiplayer race as well.
This happens to me often as well. Always in practice. Then when the race starts, the wheel usually disappears during the countdown or if I toggle through camera modes.
I can confirm this, although it rarely happens, but it happens.
Yup, after several updates it happens rarer than before, fortunately 
The Miura and classic Mini both have this problem too.

Hi. Yes, it happens when the car is at the rolling start.
Today I’ve encountered this bug again (for the first time in several months), with 2023 Nissan Z at Nurburgring Sprint in Open Class Tour event (singleplayer).
The steering wheel was visible with the driver camera during the practice session but disappeared when the race started.
Unfortunately, I have only a screenshot, I didn’t capture a video.
Another race at Nurburgring Sprint in the career mode (Road to Race Tour) and another occurrence of the issue. I don’t encounter it on any other track so I think it’s tied to Nurburgring specifically. Just not sure if it exists only on the Sprint layout or on GP as well.
Just got the issue on an FreePlay multiclass on Spa.
Timed race, standing start, and roll off delay set to ‘per car’ if that matters.
i actually liked this bug because this camera steering wheel is almost perfect position but in cokpit is too down usually hard seeing behind it but there should be option to keep or hide steering wheel because simple fact is every car have steering wheel you like it or not. off course there are cars what work perfectly with cokpit camera only thing what i hate is steering animation give option hide hands then not need to animate hands only steering wheel.
