It Is the same way on the P.C. also and no it is not my T.V. Or is it my P.C. the game is messed up
All my other games work just fine except Forza Motorsports 8
Series X and oled C1 here. Game looks terrible compared to GT7 on PS5.
It seems a bug, like if the high hes pack it’s not working.
No that can’t be true! The person with rtings bookmarked has an OLED and the game is beautiful! Confirmed by his own eyes!
Oh, and I have 2 of them, one 55 and a 48… To be honest, the game looks a lot better in my LG 27” 4K monitor. Maybe because the screen is smaller.
Engaging in personal arguments takes two and is not acceptable for either side. Stick to what you observe and only what you observe and leave it at that or everyone engaged in arguing faces enforcement.
Sup. I’m back with comparison pictures. All taken in 4k from the same TV and Xbox, Laguna Seca, same time of day, and the cars were driven with max assistances for the best accuracy. The difference is clear, but zooming in highlights the issue. I’m almost certain it’s an Anti-Aliasing problem.
The edges of the car in Motorsport 7 are way sharper than in Motorsport 8.
The car in FM 7 also has sharper edges in movement, and the motion blur in 7 seems “smoother” than Motorsport 8, which looks way more “noisy”.
Considering people are having the same issue with TAA on PC, it’s reputation for being blurry, and that it looks to be about the same situation with Payday 3, which I have also played, I’m sure it is TAA that is making the game look “blurry” as I have reported.
I dont know if leetorts has a small screen, or if his sharpness is cranked up, but just from the menus and loading screens I can notice the difference in the natural sharpness of edges, light reflections on rough textures, etc. For context, my TV is 43". Even the Xbox dashboard and the image that appears when launching the game is sharper for Motorsport 7, not even talking of the other countless games I have played that look way sharper and higher quality than the new Motorsport.
So i found a few other things not working right also … The Cars work fine if you are in the cockpit mode but every thing else out side of these 2 is very disorder and blurry, Segment scores does not work any more either just reads 0.0
here is a short video to show what is going on so maybe this can get fixed … or at least i hope so.
Thank you The game can be seen again in all driving modes the segment score part is still not working and only reads as 0.0 for a score, but all in due time i guess. again thank you at least it is still worth chipping away at the lvls Cheers
Ol Man Gaming
Just went back to Horizon 5 and the game is so crisp, it looks like it has a sharpness filter. It doesn’t. The TAA is a curse to Motorsport. All the little details are mushed together and everything ends up looking flat, and the game looks like it is in low-res. Just changing the Anti-Aliasing would make the game look 700% better.
Hello,
Are you still experiencing this issue in game? if so, can you send screenshots or videos of this issue?
Thank you,
This issue remains unchanged, so all of the screenshots on my post above can be used as an example.
Yes, same problem occuring. Screenshots taken today on Series X, raytracing performance mode, partly cloudy, noon.
Hakone
Mugello
Nurburgring
Silverstone
You can see how some textures seem to load better than others randomly. Then you see lines where textures clash. Mixes of lower and higher res textures. Nurburgring the grate is higher res, but there’s a weird line on the grass on Mugello etc.
I just now realized the community manager might have merged my report with a completely different matter. My post talked about screen resolution and anti-aliasing, and it was merged with a report about texture quality.
Hoping it means this may be addressed soon. I may post about ray tracing issues also, as there’s a weird glow or shimmering in cockpits, often when it’s overcast.
I agree with the OP. Everything just looks blurry on Xbox Series X. My settings are Visual, so I’m expecting crisp detailed graphics at 30 fps, but it’s visually awful. I can’t imagine the hi-res texture pack is working as intended. 140 GB download for this level of visual fidelity is a head scratcher.
Trees are blurry or low res, cutscenes also have very blurry textures, and all of the car liveries are low res.
Not at all what should be capable on the Series X.
It finally dawned on me. This game is for the next generation. Not for this one. Period.
