GPForza GT Series

For 2014, we will be introducing our brand new GT Series onto Forza Motorsport 5. The GT Series will feature two championships under the GT Series banner. The GT Sprint Series features short length races where drivers race for themselves against the rest of the field. In the GT Endurance Series, drivers team up as two or three drivers take on much longer races, where teamwork is more important than outright speed.

Teams can choose to participate in either of these two championships, however, they also get the opportunity to take part in the overall GPForza GT Series by entering cars into both the Sprint and Endurance Series’. Teams don’t have to run the same drivers or cars in the two seperate championships, only the use of the same team name is required. Winning the overall GPForza GT Series will hold more prestige than winning one of the seperate championships only, not that they will be easy to win though.

In both championships, the racing will be split into classes, depending on driver ability. In the Sprint Series, the Pro class will feature the fastest drivers in the series, while the Am class features those who are unable to match the top drivers. Similarly, in the Endurance Series, the Pro class will once again feature for teams with all quick drivers and the Am class will again feature a team of slightly slower drivers. Additionally, a third class, the Pro-Am, features a mixture of the Pro and Am classes to give a hugely mixed class.

There will be ten different cars, reprsenting ten of the worlds most loved and best known car brands, from Ferrari to Nissan, and some of the worlds best sounds, with V6, V8, V10 and V12 all present. The ten cars will be available for selection in both championships of the GT Series.

This series is ideal for those who love the Blancpain GT series. After three successful years of the Blancpain Endurance Series, it now runs a Sprint Series too, and we hope to recreate this in a very similar way. We think this setup could prove very successful, and we hope you like what we will be running.

All ten cars have been tested and the build rules are now up on our forums for everyone to take a look at. The build rules are adaptable and will be subject to change throughout the course of both the GT Endurance and GT Sprint series’, so that no car has a distinct advantage or disadvantage. Head over to see the build rules.

We are now starting to see some entries in the GT Sprint Series, with others interested. Message exp1osive sam or NFS J0RDAN to get more information on the GT Series, or PM me here on the Forza Motorsport forums.

Entries are still open for the GPForza GT Series. Pre-season testing has been scheduled for June 7th, so come on over to our forums and have a look around. We are accepting drivers of all abilities, as our series caters for both the fastest, most serious drivers on Forza Motorsport, as well as the less serious racer.

Our original forums, hosted by Zetaboards were intitially set up last year, however we have recently found a new forum hoster which will allow us to do more like post photos and videos, and embed files into posts. All these things will make our forums better, and hopefully more appealing to drivers. The same services will be provided with the GT Sprint and Endurance Series’.

The GPForza GT Sprint Series (GTSS) is starting soon! The series is intended to get underway on the second weekend in June. The plan for a race weekend will run like this:

  • Friday (7pm GMT) - Qualifying Session, 20 mins / Race 1, 30 mins
  • Saturday (7pm GMT) - Race 2, 60 mins

With 7 drivers from 5 teams now entered, and more drivers interested for at least 10 drivers entering into our first race, we have decided to look to set dates to get the season underway. We will begin proceedings with the GT Sprint Series, and hope to bring the GT Endurance Series in later on this year as the series becomes more popular, including several 3 hour races, the 1000km of Bathurst, and hopefully even our own rendition of the 24 Hours of Spa.

But we still need drivers to enter the series, we want big grids of a huge mix of cars. There’s 10 car brands to choose from and we want all 10 racing at some point this year. Our first race of the GTSS will be at Road America, intended for June 13-14. If you are interested come and join us at GPForza’s forums. Whether you on your own, or want to create a team ith your friends, the GPForza GT Sprint Series will be a great place to test your skills against drivers of similar skills, thanks to the Driver Classification system. Currently we have 4 drivers entered into the Pro Cup and 3 in the Am Cup.

RaceART Competition are looking for 3 drivers to race in their Ferrari 458 Italia in the GT Sprint Series. RaceART Competition are a competitive racing team that have previously competed in both the TORA 12 Hours of Sebring and the TORA 12 Hours of Nurburgring in 2013. Now though, the team are turning their attention to sprint racing in their trusted Ferrari machinery. All abilities of drivers are welcomed.

RaceART Engineering are also currently running one Chevrolet Camaro in the Pro Cup class, but will be willing to take on any other driver who is interested in a race drive.

If you’re interested in a drive with this team, or any other team, visit the Driver Request Thread to show you’re interest.

Also, GT Corse Italia are looking for drivers in the Lamborghini Gallardo. This team are a brand new setup for the GPForza GT Sprint Series. The team are welcoming drivers of all abilities. If you’re interested in a drive with this team, or any other team, visit the Driver Request Thread to show you’re interest.

Ah, ok.
Hola a todos.

We now have 8 racers signed up for the first round of the Sprint Series at Road America. It’s a nice looking grid to start the brand new series off, with five of the ten available manufacturers being represented. However, we would still like more. Five of the eight drivers are competing in the Pro Class, with the remaining three in the Am Class. However, we want a full lobby at our future races in the Sprint Series, and we’d happily open up a second lobby if there was need for it. But we need drivers like you to come and compete in what promises to be a highly mixed and competitively fought season of GT3-style racing.

Round 1 of the Sprint Series is scheduled for June 13-14, at Road America. As mentioned previously, a race weekend will be run with Quali and Race 1 on Friday, and Race 2 on Saturday. GPForza Forums is where the action is held. Come on over and we hope to see you on track with us at Road America

With Round 1 just a few weeks away now, 6 drivers are currently ready to contest in the highly competitive Pro Cup Class, while 4 will be competing in the Am Class. The 10 car grid is made up of five different manufacturers. We would still like a grid of 14/15 cars competing at the first round at Road America, so if you’re interested in joining a growing series, whether you be fast or not, come along to gpforza.forumotion.co.uk and sign up. Join a team or create your own, you decide as you prepare for what looks to be a great championship of GT racing!

Now with 11 drivers ready to race, it seems the Pro Class is going to be fiercely competed at Road America, with drivers sharing some of their best times. Aston Martin are looking very strong and drivers are setting uber-competitive lap times as fast as 2:11’s. The Am class gets a new driver and a new manufacture as REPTAR 808s joins in the McLaren. Qualifying and Race 1 is Friday 13th June, at 8pm BST (GMT: +1). There are still spaces left for those who are looking to take part in a fun but competitive series of close GT racing. Race 2 will be held at 8pm BST on Saturday 14th June. All race weekends will follow this format.

Visit gpforza.forumotion.co.uk to look into our series, or go straight to the Road America race thread to see all the information on the race and see the chat from some of the participating drivers.
