Got a One-X - where are these gains in load times everyone speaks of?

I’ve noticed almost no gains in load times. Other than the fact that games/apps load a bit faster on my external western digital “my passport” 2tb drive, I haven’t noticed any real improvements in loading times with the games on the internal. Even on the external, load times are pretty much the same as they were when I was using it with the base xbox one model.

Faster CPU - more RAM and GDDR5 at that - I should be seeing load time improvements, no?

Can someone please post the time it takes to boot Forza 7 or say a specific track/car/weather combo in F7 or PCARS2 - and the time it takes to arrive on track?

That would be a big help. I’m impressed with the actual in-game performance/frame rate and supersampling at 1080p - that’s brilliant. So-called performance increase in load times - don’t really see any. What gives?

it’s a brand new 1tb Xbox One-X, manufactured Jan 2018, NZ/AU build.

I got an Xbox One X recently and the load times do not seem any better in F7 or H4, maybe ever so slightly buy not very noticeable

I noticed literally no increases in load times on either one of those games either. Maybe cos’ on the base X-one they are regular titles, and on the One-X, they are “Xbox One X Enhanced”?

However, both games loaded ever so slightly faster on my external - but that was also the case with the external hooked up to OG Xbox One. So all in all, no load time difference on Xbox One vs Xbox One X internal OR external HDD with OG Xbox X vs external HDD with Xbox One X - if that makes sense.

Anyway, I bought into the hype I guess… “world’s most powerful console”… “faster game load times”…

Can you try something though?

In PCARS2, select the Gineta G40 GT5 on the do Algrave track, 10 cars total including yours, spring season, 6 in the evening, medium cloud cover, weather and time progression off - can you tell me if it takes 25 seconds or more from the “start” screen to when you arrive on track?
