One engine swap I’m hoping is possible in Forza Motorsport 2023 is adding the 5.9L V8 Racing engine to the 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. I have yet to play FM2023 but while the '88 Monte Carlo is available in that game, I can’t find any evidence showing that engine swaps are possible on that car.
You see, I did this engine swap with the Monte Carlo in Forza Motorsport 7 3 years ago. What’s so special about the Monte Carlo SS that I have in-game is that it’s a recreation of my Hot Wheels Chevy Stocker from the 1999 Criss Cross Crash 5-Pack series. The Chevy Stocker casting is modeled after the 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe.
As suggested by the name, the “Chevy Stocker” is designed as a NASCAR Stock Car. The Aerocoupe is a fastback modification made to the Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS for the 1986 and 1987 model years. The modifications are a further sloped rear window and a shorter trunk lid that sports a spoiler that lays flatter than the spoiler that one would find on an ordinary Monte Carlo SS. 200 Aerocoupes were built for the 1986 model year, and an additional 6,000 were built for 1987. I understand that I might not be able to add the Aerocoupe modifications to the in-game Monte Carlo in FM 2023, but I would really like to be able to put a NASCAR engine in the Monte Carlo SS in that game like I did in FM7.
