I came to Great Britain for the semi-annual Horizon Festival and stayed far longer that I or probably anyone else planned on, 3 years here!..Anyway, the venues were terrific and all the events certainly kept me busy. I found new cars to drive and enjoy like the Alfa Romeo TZ2, Bugatti Type 35, and Renault 5 Turbo FE. I also accomplished more here than my previous stops in Colorado, South of France/Italy, and Australia. I also set my first ever top 100 Rivals leader board time. I will certainly miss all of it, well maybe not all of it. There is a certain road up in the highlands by the Glenfinnan Viaduct that is flooded year round and no one has fixed it yet. They really should have some road engineers look at that. I am also looking forward to driving on the proper side of the road again. All in all its been a fun ride, but it’s that time to move on again. See you all in Mexico!!!
Agree 100 per cent on this.
Really enjoyed Great Britain. I’ve played all the FH’s from the beginning and all have had their niceties (Colorado, Australia) but I invested more with FH4 than any other to the point with the playlists that I can’t potentially even see my doing the same with FH5 (maybe over time).
I will fondly remember those locations, the viaduct, racing around Edinburgh, the sand dunes and Bamburgh Castle. The changing seasons and skating around in the snow in the Lake District recreation. It really was a super interpretation of the UK (and I live here).
I decided to finish the final weekly Forzathon challenge last night to wrap up the weekly and bonus. That’s left me with a fully completed Summer and Autumn and that is me done. I think this Forza will always hold a special place for me so as you said goodbye UK and onto Mexico. It has been a blast!
I liked FH4 location… starting from scratch will be weird.
Even though I will be playing Horizon 5 I will not be abandoning Horizon 4. In fact, I regularly play Horizon 1, 2, 3 and 4 with an emphasis on Horizon 1.
i still will play FH4 till the end og the series since i still got the encore achieviment to get my 100 percent
Good bye! Welcome Mexico!
Game is not going away guys and gals and after 2 days in Mexico, I’m back in UK.
I’m as yet unconvinced about FH5 - and I’m a tight arse too, so I’ve grabbed a 3-months-for-a-quid trial of Game Pass to see if FH5 a) works well enough on my PC, and b) is worth lashing £50 out on!
I was drawn to FH4 mainly because it was set in the UK - after playing all manner of driving games for ~36 years (google “chequered flag zx spectrum” to see where I started), it was a real novelty to see one where cars drove on the correct side of the road.
I can’t play Horizon 5 until Tuesday (told you, I’m tight!) but I get the feeling that regardless of how it looks or performs, I’ll never actually give up on 4 - it;s my home game, and for that alone, I’ll always have a soft spot for it!
(Disclaimer: I may have been at the cider )
I have to echo some of the comments on here - I was playing FH4 before 5 was released and unlocked quite a bit of stuff and quite a few cars. I really don’t want to have to do that all over again in FH5!!!
Other than the country setting, its pretty much the same thing no!!!
While others may disagree, I would say yes. For me, each of the Horizons 1 - 4 had a different play style and each seemed like a brand new game. Imho, Forza 5 could easily be an add-on to 4. Despite the change in locale, the look and feel of 4 and 5 are quite similar. While I am enjoying 5, it seems like I was just teleported from Britain to Mexico, except I have to do all the prelims again. (lol)
