Glitch in Forza 6 - Easily win every League Race!

I have been grinding my way through many races (FWD C Class) only to suddenly found out at the end of the race that I have been second all along! It is strange because until the last minute I have been 1st.

I saw them accelerate and then decelerate their way and slowing down into the corner along the barricades. And that guy one guy would win every race, come first. Even with a best lap time and total time even though I saw him sitting on the first corner all along. The game will even make him invisible due to being idle. On Yas Marina, it was interesting because I saw two of them do this. The second guy went a bit ahead of the original “expert” guy who did this every-time, he was placed last as expected though.

I tried to “unglitch” him by trying to push him across the finish line but that had no effect on the outcome.

This is definitely not a lag in which I don’t see the other person that a quick google search brings up.

Unfortunately, I forgot to save the entire replay but thankfully had started a DVR ingame on the last lap. Please note, I don’t intend anybody to use the material here for personal identification. I will be more than happy if this game is fixed before Forza 7 launches otherwise I fear it will be unsupported and thrown into an eternal abyss.

TL;DR - Brake early with full gas in corner. Stay like that for the entire race and you come first Watch the video here
What’s Happening? (My Guess): The game is forced to fetch the player’s best laptime and use their best last known data? Or it could just be arbitrary.

The following screenshot was even a first time for me. Because the game had shown me as FIRST all the time in previous matches. This time I had tried to hit the other car which lead to “true” ingame position. Otherwise, it would show me as first all along with only active players.

I hope Forza 6 can get some updates, stability updates at least

Let me know what you guys think or if you have come across such cheating before.

PS: Sorry for the awful driving, I was frustrated because I lost so many points after doing a lot of races before this. I also tried to push the guy thinking it will unglitch him somehow. I don’t intend to report this person, just want Forza 6 to get more love from Turn 10 before they completely move on to F7… or have they already?

Actually this is lag to an extent. It’s a connection issue.

This is not a glitch and cannot be exploited by anyone. Generally the guilty party had no idea this is happening.

Multiplayer has an automatic boot feature if you’re idle for too long. In other words, if they were truly just parked, they would have been booted by lap 2.

To ensure it’s not a connection issue for you, you’ll need to hard reset your Xbox. This can be done by holding the power button for a few seconds. Don’t turn on Xbox until the power cord light turns from white to a yellowish color.

If you see this again, pass this step to the other person as they need to hard reset the Xbox. It’s good to do this every now and then.

It’s just a connection glitch. It happens all the time. In fact it’s guaranteed to happen if you leave Forza running when you shut down your Xbox and then don’t restart the game next time you’re on.

Nice imagination though.

Are you sure this is a connection lag that lasts always with the one and only car? Did you have a look at the video I shared? I contacted that specific person and on another race it was just the two of us.

We tried this out ourselves with just the two of us and I feel convinced that this is definitely not a lag issue. If you have seen the video, and you still say that its the connection lag, only then will I retract my belief that it wasn’t!

Your video doesn’t show if he’s stationary at start/finish line. But the result screen shown is typical for the connection issue described.

I’ve won races where I had had time to look at results screen and have seen these invisible players all of the sudden finish second when the result screen had them last up until then.

Also if they are invisible you can literally ram them off the track without anything negative happening to you. The invisible player also can ram you at full speed and your car won’t move.

The invisible person is at a disadvantage basically. They have to drive really good to avoid the person that can’t see them.

If you ever see someone ram a car and nothing happens to the target, those 2 people are affected by the invisible car issue. It’s pretty funny to watch.

It is 100% a connection issue, just as RPM Swerve and Zedeeyen described. The game absolutely needs to be exited properly every time (if you don’t, you also increase your risk of losing your game save and all of your progress), and a hard reset before going online is always a good plan. There are many threads on here about this, and I’d wager every one of us has seen it.
