Hi all.
A buddy of mine is getting a “Cannot Download Gift” error on his Xbox. It says to try again later.
He’s not on here, so I thought I’d ask if anyone else here has got the error and what they did to rectify it. He’s uninstalled/reinstalled the game and restarted the game on numerous occasions.

Hello I was checking my car collection and it said I had it after the error message. I went to my change car tab and it’s in my inventory. Maybe check to see if you have it even after it says that it can’t download

It’s a week later and still all I get is the failed to download please try again later , playing on series S
Same here. i opened a ticket for support. so far even downloading again the game/deleting save datas only from console doesn’t provide anything.

such a shame. I never experienced a bug like this that prevented from getting something new. All other bugs are gameplay related and I tolerated them with no problem… But this one is really annoying… why can’t they just make us obtain them like a normal playlist’s car? Have every other car and now i’m stuck with this one missing, on top of not having near future possibilities of driving it since it will be santa-locked for a year I think… like the sian until next update

The gift Didn’t even show up for me. I DID however, get 2 copies of the Free NSX, one of which gives me the “cannot download gift” message
Same here, bro. I don’t know if this happens because I couldn’t get the car on the same day that it appears to be available. I hope they fix it, or we won’t be able to get the hidden gift.

This post is for people who have been unable to claim their 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie from this Series Secret Santa and has been unable to download it due to an error.
Note: Please attempt to fix this by either restarting your game or checking your privacy settings that allow messages to be downloaded.

I haven’t even recieved a message gifting me the AM Valkyrie. I got the the GMA T.50 and I was able to claim it. I just don’t understand why I didn’t recieve the Aston Martin. I even sent a couple of gifts to see if it would trigger and then exited and relaunched the game. That didn’t work either.
Try restarting the game (via quit then start again), restarting your Xbox or if that doesn’t help, restart the game via video settings by changing the graphics quality. That’s the only way to let the game reboot itself. Usually this fixes issues.
I’m on Xbox One. The only thing I can change in graphics is brightness and motion blur. Also, the hot wheels FOV.
I have pretty much tried everything and even making my message privacy all unfiltered and still won’t work. I do not know how else Im supposed to receive the car

I was able to get the GMA T.50, but the AM Valkyrie gives me an error when trying to download. I’ve never had an issue downloading a gifted car like this (e.g. gifted cars from the December 2022 season worked just fine). I’m on Xbox Series S.
