Back to the Ugly Sweater Viper, I had 3 Vipers in my Garage, they all looked like they had the same paint job, so I inadvertently gifted or auctioned (I can’t remember exactly) the one that in hindsight, I now realize was the ugly sweater version.
I bought one today at the auction that looked like the ugly sweater version on the preview, but like everyone else, found it didn’t take its skin with it during the auction process.
I never thought this kind of thing would bother me, but here I am, upset that I can’t get that version replaced.
Here’s hoping that we all get another one gifted to us to make up for this problem.
Just a weird kinda note about the Halo livery Jeep. Popped into FH4 and saw it was also a gifted car there (think all the ones in FH5 have been gifted in FH4 too so far) but this one is different. The livery is clearly Halo but a little different from the one on the FH5 Jeep. Just thought I’d share because of the difference and in case some people haven’t been popping back into FH4 since jumping into FH5.

I think my FH4 garage was pretty full… might need to clear some space so downloaded gift livery cars don’t just… disappear.

Like a good number of people, I inadvertently gifted away my VW Bug with the Kwik Fit livery. There are loads in AH with the livery showing but it gets removed if preview or buy the car. I’m not sure if this is by design or not, would be good for Playground to confirm either way as I’d really, really like to get that car back.
The thing is, if the thumbnail displayed properly I would have never got rid of it so losing the livery is the result of an actual bug in the game…

Same here, along with the vette and viper. The vette livery shows up on an auction bought car in my garage but have no luck with the viper or vw. The devs should really make these gifted cars unremovable/ungiftable. I was dumb and did not know any better when gifting duplicate cars in my garage during the holiday gifting thingy from a stupid bug that did not display the livery. PG really dropped the ball on this bug.

Jaguar E-Type with Lunar New Year livery
January 31st: Head to your My Horizon / Message Center menu and select Download on the GIFT CAR message to collect a 1961 Jaguar E-Type for your garage. This car comes with a Chinese New Year themed livery.
Note:
*The My Cars preview menu image shows standard paint until you save an upgrade to the vehicle.

Also gifted in FH4 where it’s treated like a barn find and can’t be deleted.
I put my Halo Jeep Wildcat in the Auction House by mistake, as the livery didn’t show up in the thumbnail and I’d forgotten about it. When I realised it had the special livery there was no way to cancel the sale. However, the car didn’t sell but the livery was still removed. Having to buy an upgrade to fix this bug seems a bit daft.
I’ve tried changing the tyre pressures on one of the previous gifted cars, only to be warned that the set-up is locked, though I thought it was standard not tuned.
Another point: like the Jeep, this Jaguar is being given free not long after it was a playlist reward. I think the Hoonigan Cosworth was a reward after being given to everyone on starting the game.

I delete all duplicate cars, and being as I can’t see which as the special paint, I don’t know which one I am deleting. Special paints are a bug if they don’t show up in the game… not a prize.
