I recently built a Alfa Romeo Giliet (not to sure about that spelling) for the historic sports car segment of the career. The build was for A-675 and I loved the car. Very light weight and with great acceleration, the car loved the short gears using the race tranny. I noticed the upgrades for that car were kind of weird though. No weight reduction was available and rear tire width could not be increased, rear tire width could actually be decreased and that’s the first car I’ve noticed you could do that with. All and all though the car was awesome and the sound the engine made with a turbo installed was sweet.
The Maserati Trofeo - brilliant car to drive, it’s become my S class go-to car for online.
Also the noise, oh my goodness the noise that car makes.
Any of the MX-5 or RX-7. Light, zippy little cars that slide through the corners.
Lancia Stratos is also a fun one.
1994 Mazda Mx-5
1994 Honda Prelude
1995 BMW 850 CSi
1995 Chevrolet Corvette
1993 Nissan 240SX SE
Small compacts such as the VW Rabbit or the Clio Williams make some great short track racing. They’re fun to drive without have to worry about losing control, not to mention they produce close racing as well.
I really like driving the 1990’s Le Mans Prototype race cars. They are extremely fast but unlike the modern ones they are really easy to control. You can boot it out of a corner and you’ll be off, whereas in the modern ones you’ll spin a billion times and never get it going again because the wheels keep spinning. My personal favourite is the Peugeot.
I also enjoy just cruising around in 60/70s supercars.
Can-Am Racers
Corvettes
Ferrari’s…
I enjoy any chance I can get to run an FD RX-7. The car is so well balanced and easy to drive.
I also find that the RX-8, even stock, is fairly easy to control in a drift without losing much speed.
Ferrari 360, 575, Holden Commodore, Mercury Cougar with the 5.7 swap, any of the older trans-am cars
My favourites, off the top of my head:
Honda RA300 (any of the 1967 F1 cars, really)
Sunbeam Alpine Tiger
James Hunt’s 1976 McLaren F1 car
427 AC Cobra
2015 Ford Mustang GT350
2014 Chevy Camaro Z28
Of all of them, the Z28 was (surprisingly) the most difficult to tame, but I managed to do so, and it’s a lot of fun. Overall, I’d say the RA300 is the best.
Gotta love the 2016 Mx5. I put it close to the top on many A Class leaderboards! It’s so difficult to drive quickly but when you get it right the results are quite rewarding
The Renault Alpine A110 is probably my favorite car in Forza 6. I love it in D and C class. I’ve lost count of how many different builds I’ve created for it. It’s competitive to and looks way better than a Honda Civic.
Love the BAC Mono. Always puts a big grin on my face. The Zakspeed Capri is a beast and looks/sounds crazy. The 1995 M5 is a drifting dream. For out and out racing the Toyota TS040 handles like it’s on rails and provides excellent grip under hard acceleration compared to alot of similar prototype cars.
I have a maxed out old willys jeep, engine swap and all. I then completely destroyed the suspension and it is a blast to drive. It even drives well enough to win above average races. Squishy springs, no dampening and no roll bars. You can catch huge air coming up off the first hill on Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca. Its never boring to wheelie past a Ferrari with an AWD WWII Jeep.
Since I mainly do S class, some fun cars for me would be: The 1992 Honda NSX, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7(FD) and the McLaren 650S. The FD RX-7 can absolutely destroy a lot of the supercars that I encounter…
Renault 5 Turbo (I think I have mine in B class?)
I don’t know why, but I love this little car.
Maserati MC 12
