Garage custom tagging and grouping, filtering and sorting

Often i wish i could separate cars by some category system. Some i want to tune, some i want to paint, some i want to test drive to see if i like them, but i don’t want them all in my favorites. There end up so many cars that sifting through to find your dozen race and destruction only cars gets tedious.

I was thinking a personalized color coding option to label and search cars by one’s own designation which would be in their brains. Or even a star rating system, still 5 separate categories should one choose to use them that way.

That would be simple and really helpful. They could make it so that when you click on “favorite car” it shows all 3 or 5 or whatever colors and maybe you could also give a custom name to every category.

as suggested by the title, instead of only having the FAVORITE tag, having various would be great to help you find your cars (mainly for those with 500+ plus cars). Having something like:

-Drift builds
-Movie cars
-Hotwheels

I dont see why we cant have custom catagories.
just like make group → name group → add car to group (in place of the current “add car to favourites” option)

you could easily allow like 10 different groups and let people make their own catagory, then add some basic filtering options like those mentioned above.

we should also be able to filter by ANY of the classes or restrictions that the festival playlist can ask us to use. that “tops speed heroes” from a few weeks back that showed the jesko but didnt include the jesko wasnt very good. we know these special classes and groupings exist and have done for a while, let us see them.

Would be awesome to sort cars on my own. There are a lot of cars and because of missing own sorting I forget on many of them, so I am using all the time same cars which I have on my mind. And it’s a pity.
Unfortunately, this topic is here from 03/2022, so it looks like that developers wont add this option. :frowning:

I think it would be a good idea to build off this concept again. With the car roster growing bigger and bigger just sorting by favorites isn’t enough to effectively locate and choose cars for the event before the timer starts.

I have thought about this a bit and thought this would be an interesting system. Fh5 has introduced a large number of badges that you can earn/collect. What if we were able to create our own filter type. As well as having a badge to choose what your custom type would be with to make it easier to see/locate. Allow for us to type in our own custom filters; creating a standard filter option to find where tunes are built for drag, drifting, racing etc would be hard. Especially since you can’t just go off of tire compounds. Which I figure a system like this would if it was introduced from the get go. Drag tires are good for drag racing but they are also the meta for point drifting, rally tires are commonly used for road as they still have grip yet they are pi efficient. Drift tires are not that great theres almost always a better option… so I had figured letting us type our own would be fantastic.

An example showcasing my concept below. (Im not a graphic artist… sorry for this looking like a mess… but figured it would be easier to explain if I tried to edit the pictures to show what it could look like than try to type it out and explain it.)

The large amount of badges, and things you could sort by. This sort of system would be gamechanging. Being able to filter by your custom filter options would be simply incredible.

Current badges we have in the game below

Not saying to use all the badges as a slot, but just showing all the different choices you could use. Heart could be a new favorite, or coffees could be a cruise car, or the keeping track wrench could represent tuning wip, Max Revs could be top speed filters. The opportunity here allows for countless combinations to your liking. It would be revolutionary for a game with this large amount of cars and short amount of time to find them. Anything to possibly help you find cars more quickly/effectively can reduce the risk of using the wrong car for certain events. I know myself as a drifter I cant tell you how many times I have joined in a seasonal event with friends to realize that I was in a drift car… instead of a race car

The ability to sort cars by

  • paint color
  • horsepower
  • weight
  • and date acquired, would be very welcome in my opinion.

I also hope we can have proper garages to view all our cars in one place as the menus get stale very fast. The menus are good for switching cars during free roam and race events.

They are not good to fully view, admire and organize your collection in three-dimension.

date aquired is already in game I believe, under “recently added”
