Game's awesome, intro sucks

I thought it was good up until they got to the part where you delivered the centenario and they went to the night time shot and had the music playing over the gameplay. I think the choice of music was complete cancer and turned me way off, something like ducksauce’s - NRG in fh2 was a really good choice. I think the perfect song for fh3 would have 21Pilot’s - Car Radio.

I really liked the FH3 intro from an audio and visual point. (Very dynamic in those regards)

As for the story, I honestly could care less. I just want a good racing experience, that balances fun and difficulty, with good graphics and sound. But fun (yes I said it twice). If I only wanted to drive, I’d get on F6 and drive around in circles. Over and over again, dieing a little of boredom. . (No offense to the F6 gospel types)

The story just guides the experience as to “what to do next”…
(Could it be done differently, sure it could.)

(BTW, I’ve enjoyed the non-combative differences of opinions in this thread.)

In addition,

I never saw the live action promo video until a day ago posted in this thread.

And I youtube’d the heck out of this game…

:flushed:

Perhaps a solution for the future would be and option to skip the intro. Leave it there for those who enjoy this kind of thing, but allow those who don’t, the opportunity to get straight into the game.

Its not really a problem and it doesn’t really need a solution. It just kinda makes me cringe when I’m trying to show off the demo to friends and the first thing you see is a load of hip try-hards trying to sound cool while boasting about the games setting. Bleh.

No one has mentioned the real issue with the intro and Kiera, I mean who tries to drive a supercar in those shoes? it is so unrealistic that she drives in heels and doesn’t take them off, probably going to cancel my pre order and then go back in time and not buy my XBOX. That was a joke for anyone whom my have had a sense of humour failure.

Anyway not too fussed about the intro, I do dislike how everyone talks like how non car people think car people talk. Not a fan of that annoying Scott Tyler character, he sounds as if he was dropped on his head at birth, then drank a tin of paint! “the forecast for today is high energy rhythms and plenty of thundering engines” I threw up every time I heard that.

You just bagged our top prize! (Why don’t you head over to the auto show and get yourself a car…)

Eh, I actually didn’t mind Scott in Horizon 1 that much, he was much more dialed back in that games intro. Certainly didn’t sound like a YouTube personality who thinks that shouting and using buzzwords is the key to being cool.

Ok, sorry for the tin foil hat moment but…

Kiera, in Xanadu = Olivia Newton-John = Australia

For those old enough to remember. .

:unamused:

Think about that for a minute. . :joy:

It seems I’m late to the party. I was about to post the link to the newly revealed live action trailer (this one, in case you haven’t seen it), but it has been posted already several posts ago.
Now, I really don’t mind which one is going te be used as the game itself is much more important to me. But to ease all of your pains, I personally think this is how it’ll be: you boot up the game, after which you’ll see the live action trailer, similar to FH2 (surely they’re not letting a live action trailer go to waste, right?). After that the cinematic intro starts, the one we’ve seen in the demo, which puts you into the Centenario.
This would make sense as it’s the same setup as FH2. You get to see the live action trailer, someone starts talking about the Horizon festival and then you’ll ‘continue’ the trailer by driving the car yourself, similar to how you start of with an in-game trailer in FH2 at the bay, before getting behind the wheel of the Huracan.

Anyone who feels the same? Seems like a win-win to me for all of you.

For the love of… don’t give them any ideas to make it longer…

Is it really that hard to read these days? You couldn’t even read the last post … The link was posted by me before you and had already been posted on the previous page …

Everyone please remember (may apply or not) that new members have thier post reviewed my the mod staff before they get posted on the thread. (Like mine) sometimes it takes a while (could be 30min or 12 hours) so if a post appears a little ‘behind the time’ it may be that… (my last post took a long time to appear)

It weeds out the trolls, so I don’t mind… (now let me get back under my bridge)…

I thought the FH2 FMV was cheesy.
