Gameplay - Partially Assisted Braking Working Like Fully Assisted Since Update 20

Bug Info: When in Career mode and doing any of the races and using the Partially Assisted Braking setting, this is behaving in the same way as Fully Assisted and causing your car to brake when behind other (A.I.) cars to avoid rear-ending them.

The same problem. I hope the developers will pay attention to this issue, as quite a lot of people use this feature.

I submitted a ticket to the developers and they emailed me and asked me to provide a video showing the problem, which I did. I haven’t heard anything for a couple of weeks so hopefully they are working on a patch for it. They just need to return it to the original behaviour and make the AI changes they made in update 20 not effect the player’s own car when using the AI assists. I think as the changes were made to effect the computer-controlled AI in races to stop them being so aggressive and ramming players from behind etc, this has had the unfortunate result of also being applied to players themselves when using assists as presumably the AI controls this.

I totally agree with you. The main thing is that this problem was not missed

Please fix this issue.

I received a reply today from Forza Support about my ticket. They are closing the ticket and marking it as solved as they have collected all the information from me and passed it onto the developers. They said even though it’s marked as solved, the issue is still under investigation with the developers.

Hopefully they will issue a fix with the next update as this has completely broken the Driving Assists behaviour making it very difficult to gain places in a race or win at all. The only solution I have found is to disable the Full or Partial Braking Assist and just leave ABS on and manually apply the brakes myself. This at least stops the car from constantly braking behind drivatars and allows you to get past but defeats the purpose of the braking assist altogether and means you now have to brake as normal.
