Content Update: last update

There appears to be a grip difference in private multiplayer lobbies since the last update, this has been felt by numerous players.

Case one: practice lobby for Tora sebring hosted by PTG Ducky , his lobby was fine on his end, i ran the exact same tune and the car (audi r8) understeered yet the hosts car ( ducky) was perfectly fine pace gap of 4 seconds

when i went into private testing on same settings i was back at normal pace.

Case 2: same thing, hosted by PTG J Ceaser, his car and #2 person joined was fine but yet anyone else car was horrific with no real control. Again 4 seconds off

Case 3: self hosted same settings meetup, my car and session felt normal and was on the pace yet drivers #3 and #4 who joined was off by approximately 3 seconds with the same issues.

Case 4: timed session for qualifying, hosted by me in same settings, car was there…but didnt feel right, EXR Juiced couldnt find grip, RZM Bobby couldnt find grip, #4 we don’t know but #5 NWR Azza had a fine session.

Case 5: SDW Vettel (i belive) has kept a graph showing his diffrence in pace using the same settings and tune.

Lots of the TORA community has experienced this in unison and is unfair to have happen.

To add to that lobbies I have hosted under the correct settings for the TORA event to be run. I get very good lap times, yet when I joined on a Qualifying host under the same settings I was on a enrage 6 to 8 tenths off on my best laps.

To note I am an experienced player with good overall pace, to lose such time on like for like laps with our big mistakes is not a normal occurrence. This is also noted by a number of other drivers with better pace than myself. Including an ex FRC Champion.

Either it is lobby to lobby host related or tyre compound is glitching out to mediums even though in game hud shows it to be softs. This could be possible as I have set fuel tyres to 25% in lobby, then when it loads in fuel glitches to 100%, tyres remain to say soft but have previously glitched to mediums, before the last update. So could still be there just hidden.

Another example to add:

Same racing event (TORA 6hr Sebring Endurance)

In private multiplayer, I hosted my qualifying session and had the same grip as always, running a 1:59.5 average in the lobby. Upon swapping lobbies to another host using identical conditions, I could not obtain anything faster than a 2:00.8.

The car physics feel entirely different. The best way I can explain it is the track feels like it has ZERO rubber on it or the tires have no heat in them, a more drastic change than going from softs to hards.

When I had this experience, I rebooted my game and joined back into that same lobby I couldn’t beat a 2:00.8 in. After the reset, I was straight away back into the mid 59s and everything felt normal again.

I want to confirm the same thing as them, there are identical rooms in which it does not come out on time and in others it does, we are talking about more than 7 tenths of a difference
I play to Xbox

cannot test things, since no friends
but do make sure people reload their tune
ive noticed SP applied tune, and MP applied tune, are separate

Our devs are still looking into this issue. We have some questions for players who are still experiencing this and looking to narrow down the specifics of where this issue happens and the setup information for affected races.

  • Do you notice a discrepancy in your Lap Pace while in a certain type of event; Practice, Qualifying, Featured Race, Test Drive, Meetups? Or was this happening in any kind of event?
  • Does this specifically happen when you join a private MP event in progress?
  • Does this happen in single player events?
  • Some players mentioned issues with their tire compound; is there some specific timing for when you are setting your Tire Compound and Fuel levels? For example, entering Practice > going back into the Event Menu > setting Tire Compounds > and then rejoining Practice only to notice this issue?
  • Are you downloading and installing Tunes when this issue happens? If so, when are you downloading and installing the Tunes, outside the event or inside the event?
  • Are you downloading and installing a tune after making adjustments to your own car?

Hello

Havent had this for a while but it is still promienent

  1. yes differences using a controlled system (i.e conditions, same tune (booted and un booted)) in between free play, meetups and private sessions most noatbly was TORA Sebring 12hr was noticed ALOT also kylami 6hr mutlple people noted that being the host was slower ( ESV Roberts, Me, Koiningsegg (cant spell) ) i got horrific understeer with brand new tyres and lost 2.2 seconds to the car infront yet was lapping on pace .

  2. yes private so far

  3. Nope

  4. not yet, its been noted when havinf the issue its as thou your on mediums when having softs, theres also times where in active races the tyre menu will skip giving you whatever tyre was first in list

  5. see comment 1, tried with shared, unshared, tweeking yhe tube, reloading it from save or saving while on car

  6. see 1 and 5

Hope this helps
