GAME WORTH BUYING IN 2017?!?!?!?!

I really want to get FH3, But is it really worth getting now? With FH4 possibly goming out (idk if it is, i’m making this up). Are there people getting it now so I can start fresh with people online or no?

I only started playing a few days ago, even though the game has been out a few months, there won’t be another Horizon game for at least another 18 months (new release every 2 years) so you’ve got plenty of time to get into it

FH4 wont be out till September 2018 at the earliest

The game isn’t even a year old yet and the next is obviously going to be Motorsport 7. As for your question - It’s totally worth it. Best racer of 2016, not like there was much competition anyways.

I think Dirt Rally pushes it hard and might be a better game. Just wish it had more courses. To answer the OP, of course it’s worth it. There’s tons to do in this game.

Har har, the only justification.

Umm, I don’t want to sound too negative here, but you’re better off with Horizon 2 + all the additional content. The game is polished and complete. You may enjoy Horizon 3 due to a different map and cars to try out but it comes off as broken in several ways. Well, I’ve said enough! Just check out the forums and you’ll have an idea.

Game is not even a half year old and there are questions whether it’s too late to buy. Jesus, gaming industry these days…
As a PC player, i would honestly be happy to get Horizon 2 and play it now even though i’ve got about 180 hours played in FH3 already. Oh and FH4 is not coming out in 2017.

I still consider this game young. All the content even isnt out yet (HE cars, car packs, 2nd expansion)

Yes its worth it, there are still many DLC cars to come (and to be leaked xD) so the game is far from old. Still enjoyable with blueprints in SP and multiplayer isnt too bad.

I think Forza Horizon 3 is the best Forza on Xbox One. So I would say yes, get FH3.

Horizon 3 has a lot less structure than Motorsport or Horizon 2, so some will see it as a poor game in that regard. But if all you want to do is mess around with cars and do some fun racing, I think its easily the best in the franchise.

The op’s question had to do with online like coop and stuff not dlc and he cars.

Most of my gaming has been done on a PC playing rfactor, rfactor2, GTR, GTR2, various NASCAR and F1 games and Grand Turismo on the PS3. Since I have a PS4 also, waiting on Grand Turismo for the PS4. I have also played Forza Motorsport Apex with expansion for the PC.

I think from playing the last few months, that FH3 is one of the best game around especially since I bought a G29 that works great on both the PS4 (F1 2016) and the PC. I have put in so many hours and have a long way to go. I only wish that I could export 3D models that I can create my own skins in Photoshop. For the enjoyment that I have had, it is well worth the money.

Be aware of shillers, do your homework, read these forums.

YES!?!!??!!?!!!

The game came out like 4 months ago… of course it’s worth getting…

The Forza releases have been on a rotating schedule - so Horizon 4 is most likely coming fall 2018. This year should be Forza 7.

I managed to resist an XBox One until a few weeks ago so hadn’t played any of the Forza games since FM4 and Horizon on the 360. Given that, FH3 was totally worth it IMO. That might not be the case if you already have Horizon 2 but I can’t provide an informed opinion there…

The combo of Horizon for fanciful street racing, open world cruising, and rally style stuff and Motorsport for more realistic, professional style circuit racing scratches a whole lot of driving itches for me anyway.

I think if you had played FM5, 6 and especially H2 on the Xbox One, you would have thought differently.

I got FM6 at the same time and honestly Motorsport 6 is a bit more disappointing than Horizon 3 IMO. The physics and graphics seem great, I’ve been playing the heck out of it, and it’s also well worth the price of admission IMO but it feels pretty sterile and limited in features compared to 1-4. Conversely, I seem to click more w/ Horizon 3 than I did w/ the first one.

Different strokes and all though…
