Forza Horizon 3 is the best Forza on Xbox One in my opinion and there are a lot of reasons why. Forza Horizon 2 was great fun but it just doesn’t have as much content or features. Far less hours of playtime in it.
There won’t be the next for 2 years and it’s barely a year old. So yeah, buy it and play it now if you are worried about
Given that you have played Forza Horizon 3 for 18 hours and have 250 Gamerscore already, it looks like you’ve made your decision.
I guess we feel differently because I think FM6 has much more staying power than FH3. Seems like there are so many more events to do despite the limited track selection. There is still a lot I can do in the game that I haven’t gotten around to yet.
I just got FH2 in 2017, so that shows you how crazy I am. I previously had it for the 360. FH2 is much better graphically than the 360 version but a definite stepdown from FH3. The car interiors even don’t look to be on the same level. I’m hoping FM7 sets the bar even higher for the next open world game hopefully dropping next year.

I really like both. Forza 6 with decent headphones and a wheel is a blast. Although, it’s not quite as realistic as something like Assetto Corsa, but it definitely has much more variety.
I think my favorite thing to race in Forza 6 is the Can-Am series. Those cars sound amazing. The F1 cars are also very fun… but then I could just also play F1 2016 or Assetto Corsa.
The Forza games - while not top of the pack when it comes to sim / wheel support (force feedback, road feel) - they are close enough and have much more variety than the super-sim games. They are better games, but not quite as good simulations. Very fun, still.
