I haven’t been playing for a while and when I opened up the game was told there was an update.
I have the deluxe version on blu ray, why did it download 39 gb ? Sure chewed up my bandwidth for the
month.
Something is amiss. If you surmount that much bandwidth in a day, then you are doing some serious internet activity … activity that I am certain your Xbox One could not rack up in a day. Forza’s two updates equal less than 1 GB combined. I suggest you have a chat with your internet provider.
if thats a real question never install your own wireless, you’ll be paying for the whole apartment complex. made that mistake once. i realized it when my isp started giving me piracy notices. and they were pirating oblivion which i had 4 copies of. they could have just asked me for 1. its encrypted from now on, i’m no longer a free hotspot.
Like Shadow said, the two updates Forza has had are less than 1 GB together. 39 GB sounds like the entire game downloading to the HDD and in any case, if you have the disc, it downloads from that and not from the server so it shouldn’t take up any bandwidth.
I realize that. After I clicked on install, message given was 32.9gb as the total. I had the disc in the Xbox as well. Thought it a typo and would fix itself during the download. Took about 4.5 hours to download.
It was so big because it was re-installing the game. I know this because my friend had to do this for one of the updates. Doesn’t make any sense but that’s probably what happened.
It isn’t re-installing the game. What Xbox One now shows is the title update installing on top of the game install status bar. So, when we recently updated Forza, the status jumped all the way to 98 or 99 percent (representing the previously installed game) and completed at 100 percent with the title update.
Your lucky. My Forza 5 refuses to update. I never get an update notice. I had to delete the install and reninstall to get the second update.
I assume I will have to delete my install whenever a new update is released since I never get prompts that tell me an update is available ( yes Iam connected and logged in to Xbox live.)
Has anyone suggested you check your privacy settings? I’m just guessing here, but the only time I’ve had trouble with FM5 being able to communicate properly with the net had to do with having my privacy settings “too tight”.
How good is your internet connection? If the Xbox is struggling to keep a connection, it may not update. On the other hand, are you sure it didn’t download and install when the console was in sleep mode?
I was trying to play the game when it was downloading. Got through some sections ok, other times was try again. I took a look at available cars and most of them had a download symbol below them. I then turned off the Xbox and I do have it set to download updates. My security settings are fine for my wireless. I have 10 previous days to compare to and they were all within what I use. No, I downloaded the whole game. I specifically bought the disc version that I would not have to do such a big download.
If there is another update we should be able to sell cars and upgrades. I bought some body parts and then changed them. I wanted to sell the other part but there was no option to.
That’s what it sounds like to me. The reason I would say that is that I did the digital download. and then the update and it was just over 40gb total
It sure can in a matter of no time, mine was done in less the 3 hours. XBOX ONE games all seem to be around 40gb right now, so if you get the digital copy thats a big download. I can see some parents losing their minds when they get overage charges because of game downloads.
