This Morning when I woke up I went onto Forza Horizon 2 and when the Loading menu came on it synced the game save which then became corrupted.
This infuriated me as I had collected most of the cars and I was level 155.
I have had to start all over again

Happened to me also. I made a thread the other day just to see if it happened to anyone else.
100+ cars, Level 144, etc…all gone.
I don’t even want to play anymore.
Wherever this problem lies, whether it be with Microsoft or the individual developers, it needs to be fixed… Cloud saves suck
This must be the “real” secret power of the cloud… It eats game saves like our dryers eat socks. Or it’s those damn underpants gnomes…

this is partly why I’m put off by the xbox one, there is nothing more infuriating than save data loss.

This also happened to my buddy. He was able to get a refund as he was unwilling to have to redo everything. He’d downloaded from Live though. I’m not sure if this would be possible if you bought the retail.
I’d probably be in the same boat if it happened to me. If the online actually worked, ie had lobbies and a way to easily do the type of events you wanted to do with a full group of people then I’d feel different. As is this game has limited replayability.
Corrupted gamesave? How is that possible
Happened also to me… i have an infinite loading screen. What can i do now? MS or TURN10 can/will help? I don’t want to start from the beginning…
I had this happen today, I think it’s something to do with the fast resume option on xbox.
I deleted my local game save data through the settings app and restarted Horizon. My save data was synced back from the cloud and I got back to where I was again.
I am one of the unfortunate souls who lost their entire garage. I tried this tip to see if I could get it back. I am now stuck in an infinite sync at the start of the game. You may want to avoid deleting all local save data in a scenario such as mine as that data may be the only thing still holding your cars. Also if you do not delete local game save data your are still able to play. Currently I am not. Thanks though anyways Papa Alfa Bravo it sure seemed like it could work for me too.
God I hope they can give us an answer soon, hell I’d be happy getting some credits to rebuy my cars
I also had the infinite loading screen. I performed a hard reset on my Xbox One, which solved the problem.
Wow. So it isn’t just me.
I get on to play Horizon 2 and it starts me from the very beginning. Level 60-something, had 51 cars and only 4 away from completing my ‘perfect garage’, and now I’m supposed to start over?
This after I pre-ordered the game online and was screwed out of playing it at release while all my friends who bought a hard copy had no issues?
FH2 quickly became my favorite video game and now I honestly don’t even know what to do. I sure don’t want to have to start all over again. Even if I was gifted 2-3 million credits as an apology I’m going to be pissed. I hate to sound like an old man but all this new “technology” causes nothing but problems. I never had a problem going to a midnight release for a game I love, and I never had an issue with storing data on my own personal hard drive.
I honestly cannot begin to explain how pissed off I am right now. Zonda Cinque through the Italian hillside? Nah, restart from the beginning. No way.

Kindly fix the save game issue… more over please sticky this topic so we can have a list of all the users affected by the corrupted saves.
