removing this update worked for me.
Can you provide the output of following command:
get-appxpackage *Xbox* | Select Name, PackageFullName
I got you:
Try removing the ā-allusersā from the end of the remove commands, maybe your user isnt authorized to delete apps globally, not sure whyā¦
My PC isnāt listed to remove it from the insider program, only my xboxās are there when I manage devices in the Insider Hub. Did close your account to leave the insider program?
Well for whatever reason, that worked.
Wack.
Restarting PC now.
i closed my account and that did the trick, alternatively once you have the insider hub open, click on the insider link in the xbox app dropdown:
then see if you have the option to sign out of it
Update:
It still doesnāt work
you never had the faulty versions of gaming services judging from your previous post that contained the version numbers, so it wouldnāt have solved anything.
This thread seems to have a lot of different issues mixed together
thats what I thought when I was told to use his processā¦
Yeah I thought you could try your luck with it, since your issue looks different than the one I initially opened with this thread.
I wanna ask something though, when you reset your Windows, did you do a clean install or keep data?
Clean install.
EDIT: At this point, Iām going to hope for a patch update, and if it isnāt here by Saturday, Iām refunding the game and will likely buy it much later on when this, along with all of the other horrendous issues, are fixed.
This issue has, quite literally, ruined any motivation I had to play this game, which is quite sad as I was looking forward to it.
Sorry my fix didnāt work for you, without knowing what exactly that loading circle is meant to do its pretty hard to troubleshoot, all my ideas run out at ācould be a DNS issue?ā and iām not sure what else would be happening during that exact loading screen that would explain the issue.
naw its okay! I greatly appreciate it; not ur fault, lol.
Could be several things; again, havenāt even been prompted to sign in, which is why I suspect its an issue with that. Unfortunately, nothing seems to fix that core issue so i just, yanno, have lost motivation to āattemptā fix it.
Unfortunately, Iām a med student so, I donāt exactly have free time to troubleshoot issues anymore like when I was a kid yanno? Sucks, but thatās just how it is now.
feel that, i used one of my two free days to troubleshoot this mess, hopefully tomorrow i can actually play. iām just glad my effort wasnāt entirely wasted, even when it cant quite fix everyones problemsā¦
Well itās actually crazy that not even a clean install fixed it for you.
In that case all I can think about is a few scenarios:
- Your router (hell maybe even ISP man idk) is blocking some connection that FM uses
- The game is running into an issue related to your BIOS settings
- A DRM check before login that does a quick disk scan and is perhaps detecting something it doesnāt like (such as pirated software)
One possible way to test if itās network related / disk scan or not is to setup a VM (like Virtualbox) and see if installing and launching the game from there works. Iām trying to overall think of scenarios that arenāt related to your OS itself.
If you havenāt already, check Test Mode and Secure Boot from earlier in this thread, and a last hopeless solution would be to reinstall the game back and forth between different disks (and on the same disk different folder as well).
Sucks that you still canāt play the game. If this brings you any comfort, the game isnāt that good in my opinion and has many issues in-game. Definitely not worth all this effort
I appreciate all of that sir, and my friends have said the same thing. In fact, one of them has the exact same issue I am having, and Iāve been the guineapig of like, trying to fish for a fix for us both, lol.
I hope yall have a great evening and such, and again, thanks for the assistance nonetheless
No worries man, I hope you and your friend find a better game to enjoy together.
Iād say go for a refund now before itās too late. Itās pretty unacceptable that this company isnāt even attempting to address these issues (FH5 literally went on for a year and counting with a launch issue that isnāt addressed). Theyāre not worth your time tbh.
You have yourself a great evening as well!
you will still need to leave insider, my command chain wipes most xbox apps to be safe, as otherwise you may continue to have insider versions of apps installed until the official version is released and the version number overtakes your currently installed version.
i would recommend installing the xbox apps again, it may take a few minutes longer but you will be sure your software is the correct version.
