Game feels empty, boring. Lack of events

This is my playtime. I have only about 65 cars, almost 50 of them are at level 50 without any afk farming. And i have plenty of credits, 17 millions, i can buy plenty of cars, BUT. But what to do with them?!

I’m at the point when game starts to feel empty and boring. I don’t know what to do here. Career was short and boring. I enjoyed multiplayer and done hundreds of races. But with lack of events, multiplayer also looks for me empty now.

While i was looking for some news about FM in internet, i saw this in twitter:

WHY? Why i need to find or look, or join discord for some community events. I’m on xbox. I don’t want to do this to enjoy the game. Why we just can’t have similar events ingame?!

Besides all of those bugs, crashes, pretty rough start of the game, i patiently waited and found my way to enjoy the game. Till this moment. Game is about 120gb and what’s inside there?! Black hole. I’m starting to give up… :pensive:

Because they had no time to make a ingame UI for this… it was only 6 years… you have to understand.

The only thing I’m really waiting for is the car pass cars to be released. Steam pulled an oopsie and posted a bunch of what they listed as “DLC” cars. We will finally get some more modern Trans Am series cars (Corvette and Mustang) to go with the Challenger, and we will see a pretty rare 1 off Buick Somerset Trans Am car from the 80’s

Here is what is sad. Why can’t they integrate external social media into the game? Why can’t they design the game to allow crowd-sourcing for racing?

I’ve raced in a private league on FM7 for about 5 years. The guy that runs it goes back to FM1. Some of the fastest racers in Forza have been in the league. He has amazing ideas about how to improve multiplayer and open the system up for private leagues to flourish yet Forza won’t talk to him.

Years ago he had a tight relationship with Forza and was helping them out with documentation and ideas for the game, then one senior developer blacklisted him and despite his loyalty and love for the game, they won’t talk to him.

Forza isn’t communicating with the community

This is sad. Nothing to add more here…

Yea, but what to do with that one or some specific car/s if there are no place ingame to run with them. Practice, rivals? For how long? And if there will be specific event in MP, then again only for a week?!

I tend to play single player free race. I don’t have the patience for romper room multiplayer. I’m not a baby sitter.

They’re reaping what they’ve sowed then, not taking community feedback to heart is an ongoing problem with devs these days.

If 2/3 of the population who play your game says something is a problem/needs changes then you need to listen. It’s what separates the good/ok from the greats

Single player campaign is too short and the month adding content is a joke.

Only with that, the game can improve completely.

-Upgrading need to be quicker.

-Creating and sharing our own championships.

Rest is polish the bugs

I think that’s all they do with the updates, polish the bugs. Fixing them is too much work so they just pretty them up.

FACT !!! This Game and the amount of Bugs is not Fixable

They really need to step it up with the monthly updates to have any chance of a recovery after the train wreck of a launch they had.

For the monthly updates so far, they’ve given us–

-A rotating featured tour with maybe 4 hours of content for an entire month, With the only reward being one car at the end of the month. For reference, the weekly playlists that Horizon uses have 2-3 hours of content per week, with at least 2 reward cars and various cosmetics.

-A handful of cars each month, with a majority going straight to the auto show for purchase. Not bad overall.

-One track per month. This would be fine if the game launched with a good variety of tracks, but it didn’t. So many iconic tracks are missing, and the first update we get Yas Marina…

-Multiplayer variety has been awful. The number of playlists at any one time is small, and they keep running multiple events with very similar themes for some reason.

Pure speculation, but it sounds like the Senior Developer was so insecure about a lowly fan coming up with better ideas and integration than he could, and he made sure he’d never be upstaged, again. Pathetic.

I mentioned this in another thread, but due to Forza’s unchallenged success over the decades in the simcade genre, Xbox and T10 grew complacent. FM is the epitome of this arrogance, but it didn’t quite work out the way they thought, did it? SMH

I think you are right. The game is definitely at risk of coming to an end. They only make money by selling the game or DLC. Microsoft like all big companies likely has internal billing to track the cost of running the servers. That’s why so many features for older titles was shutdown. It costs money to run the servers. If the cost of running the servers for a game people aren’t using is too high along with the costs of fixing the game, it could be on it’s deathbed.

How do I say this in a way that gets the “Game Pass will save Forza” crowd to finally understand? This game can’t thrive off of being 500th in line, which is where it’s headed fast.

I think sooner than later, the gamepass model is going to start showing cracks. Once people realise that in order to get good value, they’ll have to play at least half a dozen different games a year, the library is going to look less and less appealing for the money.

With the ultimate membership, you’re paying £160 a year. If you only play one game, you’ll end up paying 3-4x the shelf cost, so you’re going to have to split your playtime up significantly not get shafted essentially. And for me, that simply doesn’t work, even if MS first party titles were worth investing in (which they aren’t, anymore at least).

Or, you go the other way and look at the option of continually claiming £1 “trials” on new accounts. With either picture, you’re only really picking up the half-invested crowd. They don’t want to buy the game and will have to play something else to justify their membership.

I’m very interested in observing the next few years for Xbox because the last few years don’t look particularly promising

I personally decided to stop wasting money in that department, been having ultimate for a while and decided core was a way better choice. Forza Motorsport has woken me up in so many ways lol, if I was on PC I’d drop GP entirely

The only reason I have GamePass is my sons. They do love trying out lots of titles. We get our money’s worth, however, once they move out I’ll cancel it.

Game Pass is great if you have kids because those are the types of gamers it’s made for. The kind that literally go from game to game on a regular basis and have a lot more time to game than adults.

I have friends with kids, and they say, it’s saved them hundreds of dollars they would have had to spend to get all the games their kids wanted to play.

Some also own a PS5, but the amount of “must play” games are few and far between. Not talking about quality, but that the big releases like Spider-Man 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc. don’t come out that often compared to Xbox, that is more or less a daily driver with games like Minecraft, Fortnite, etc.
