What hot garbage have I paid good money for?
This game has been out since October 2017 and this is still an issue?
I’ve reset the Windows store multiple times, ensured I’m on the latest version of Windows, latest drivers for GeForce GPU, I’ve corrected DCOM settings etc.
I have no idea what else I can do at this point with this error in the Event Viewer:
Unable to start a DCOM Server: Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_1.116.458.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe!forzamotorsport7 as Unavailable/Unavailable. The error:
“5”
Happened while starting this command:

Is there any true way to fix this or should I be demanding a refund?
It has been an issue for as long as the game has released. If you browse the forums, dozens of people (and those are just the ones speaking about it) have your issue. There are no silver bullet fixes. You can try and install a random app from the store, or force-starting the “Windows PushToInstall” service, and maybe that’ll work for you. Didn’t work for me personally though.
Failing that, yeah, get your refund tbh. Let your wallet do the talking that an expensive game like this being unplayable for 4+ months for so many people is completely unacceptable.
EDIT: Oh, and it’s also a problem for Forza Horizon 3, a game that has been out for like 1½ years.
You’d think that when the game creator and the operating system creator are basically the same company, that they’d have an easier time working out these things.
In order to get MS Store to sync you could choose to do the following steps:
-Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options > Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart (slider to ON).
-Settings > Accounts >Your Info > Click on “Sign in with Microsoft Account Instead”
-Input your Login Credentials. Follow all steps afterward
-Reboot PC
-You should now notice that you don’t have to “Login”
-When at Desktop Start Forza 7
