I purchased Forza 7 last year before Christmas, and have never been able to play the game. Prior to posting I followed the instructions posted here and submitted all necessary information. I did get a response back and we went back and forth with a few emails. However, in the end the response I got was ‘were investigating’.
I’ve been trying to research online and on these forums for a month now with no luck. I’ve tried the majority of the solutions on this forum and unfortunately none of them have worked. Here’s a list of what I can think of off the top of my head:
wsreset
dlc uninstall/reinstall
game reinstall/redownload
windows push to isntall service
disabling microphone
refreshed app
downloaded free store app → game launch
updated drivers
created alternative local account
switched account to microsoft acount
I’m sure there are more that I’ve tried but this is just to name a few. The following error I get is:
The server Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_1.116.458.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe!forzamotorsport7 did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
I spend about 20/30 minutes each day doing a little research online and by trial/erroring my problem. I’m currently investigating EventID error 10010 as it seems related to my problem, but I feel like I’m getting nowhere. Based on forums posts here I’ve read (as old as 3 months), these issues are known but it is unknown when they will be resolved. Perhaps I’m being stubborn. I just really want to play this game. My hopes are someone has figured this out.

I’ve had this issue for a few months, as have many others. I have tried everything you mentioned and more, including reinstalling Windows completely. It doesn’t help. My error is slightly different to yours. https://puu.sh/zeqvo/94f321fcae.png
Ultimately it works out to the same thing. Many of the fixes around the forum work for some people, but sadly not me or you as it turns out. All we can hope is that they fix it sooner rather than later. It seems like they don’t understand the issue despite all the info posted about it… Worrying.
