Hi everyone

1st time posting so here goes

I’m an xbox one player and I have the headset adaptor so my tritton ax pros are able to work , the controller has been updated but when I received the July update on Thursday 10th I stopped hearing game chat, I can hear party chat and game chat on other games , I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but before the update everything worked great

Is / has anyone else experiencing this problem ?

I’ve noticed a lot of issues with various headsets, and suggest you contact Xbox Support: Xbox Support (or your localized version). The latest Xbox LIVE update for July did a number on several headsets, causing constant buzzing, interruptions of communications, etc. LIVE Support needs to know your exact situation and the details to pass on to the developers.

I will give it a try, I contacted xbox before I published my problem on here and as expected they were useless, the guy blames forza servers.

I felt I was going round in circles with him ( aaarrgghh ) try this , try that , all the things you would try but they say that the problems is not with them ( surprise suprise ) …

What really baffles me is that I can speak and hear people in a party chat but not game chat ???

Will let you know if the above works…

Just to confirm I have an AX Pro and all is working fine. I do recall having some issues early on that were resolved by adjusting the up/downs on the adapter. Good luck.

Sometimes for whatever reason in game chat, I’ve found myself unable to hear some people (most of the lobby if it’s larger) and I’ve heard of this problem to be common. It’s very unfortunate, but I don’t think there’s a solution for it at the moment and most people don’t know it’s actually going on anyways.

In game chat is broken (has been for a long time). Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I had someone last week come into a game and ask if anyone could hear him. I was the only one who could.

I have posted an idea on xbox user voice as most server issues are now handled by Microsoft not the developer. The evidence of this is the game specific feedback provided for xbox live status on xbox.com.

I do not know exactly where this issue falls though.

But here is the issue, please vote for it if you want game chat fixed.

It is mostly likely another Forza problem that T10 seems to ignore. Party chat works fine but once you step in to a Forza lobby all heck breaks lose.

Thanks for the info guys , I’ve voted satniteeduardo, I don’t know if it will get fixed hope it does as the lobbies can be fun esp when people get pi**ed off when you get Sunday drivers lol

This is a good idea and all, but are there any troubleshooting ideas in the meantime? This just started a few days ago for me. I’ve always had the issue where I could only hear some people in the lobby, but lately I can’t hear anyone since the update. I am not using a special headset of any kind, just the xbox one that came with it. Really annoying since it makes it harder to have a good lobby. If people are on headsets and apologizing for incidental contact, I find it makes other people try harder to race clean. (Unless they are just a troll of course)

Can you hear people in party chat but not in game chat?

Are you sure people in game chat are talking?

Cn you get a friend in your game and get them to chat via game chat and see if you can hear them?

Yeah, I can do party chat just fine. Haven’t tested the gamechat with a friend yet. (The person I used party chat with will NOT go into a lobby, lol) Now it COULD be a coincidence where you only hear half the lobby and that happens to be the only half talking… but for the past few days, I see their name on the screen during the race, or see their mic light up green in the lobby but no sound. My mic also doesnt turn green in the lobby. I immediately switch to party chat and see my green dot light up just fine.

I’ve got the exact same problem and I have tryed getting a friend to test gamerchat, it dosent work but annoying to me I see his mic turn green when he chats in the lobby :sleepy:

I was also on live chat to Microsoft support “again” and same result , they haven’t had any complaints regarding this matter & it must be the developers fault , contact them they said ?

I’m getting very dizzy going round this circle :angry:

I tried my headset that came with the console and even my sons thinking it was the chat adaptor but no joy still :frowning:

Thanks for the info tony but sadly mine was set on everybody and after a few races it was still set at everybody

Just need to keep looking for solutions unfortunately

I looked for something like that last night, but to be honest, didn’t look very hard. I was in a lobby and trying to find something without quitting. (Was with a good group of people I would have liked to chat with) I haven’t changed anything in my settings, but I know strange things happen. Will most definitely check this tonight. If this somehow got changed and this fixes the problem, I am going to feel like a total idiot! Thanks!

Do you guys honestly think forza/turn 10 will do anything about this as I’ve missed another great night of racing banter due to not being able to chat :frowning: , what else I’ve noticed is I switch the controller of once entered the lobby, then plugged the adaptor in and switched the controller back on I can hear the lobby chat but I still can’t chat also if I take the adaptor back out my controller freezes causing me to re-boot my console ?

Any ideas guys ?

My settings were fine, but thanks for the idea. Weird thing is… chat worked fine last night. Don’t know what it was. Stopped working for about a week, then as soon as I say something, it works fine. Whatever. I’ll take it!
