Hi guys just got my wheel had it a few days now and I’m having issues with a head set , there is no where to plug it in on the wheel so I use my pad all good ,BUT when I enter a game on forza all my wheel setting go to pot any ideas why ? I’m guessing the pad is sending the wheel setting out with what I already have set .
Hope some one can shed some light on it , only way round it is to reset the wheel but buy the time u have done that your last and half a lap behind
I’m having the same issue, never even thought it might be the pad messing with the wheel which is really annoying as I use my headset for game sounds aswell as chat
First how did you get the G920 so early? I thought it doesn’t come out until October 15!
I have a TX and that doesn’t have a headphone jack either, so here is what I do to avoid having my wheel conflict with the controller.
First with my wheel plugged in, but not on, I turn on My Xbox using a controller. Since I am using headphones through the controller I hard wire them to the console so that the power stays on to keep the audio going. After the console boots up, I turn on my wheel. Using my wheel I press “A” and open Forza. Now the audio plays through the headphones and the wheel works with the game.
*If you start pressing any of the buttons on the controller at this point you will get a controller conflict and a message that says “Controller disconnected”. The only buttons you can touch are on the stereo headset adapter to raise out lower your volume or chat mic.
Also worth noting: It is better if you Quit Forza after each time you play because sometimes after I use my wheel and I am done playing, when I boot my Xbox back up my previous Forza session is still open, but the controls on my wheel dont work with it. So I have to go to the main menu quit the game and then reopen.
To quit a game: With either your wheel or a controller on your main menu of you Xbox, Press the menu button (thats the one with 3 lines on it). Select QUIT from the list.
I’ve had mine since 8th September, I live in the UK and just pre-ordered it on the 4th and it was posted the next day!
I also have noticed the same issue not exiting Forza correctly also. Mine was worse though, I tried what you suggested but it still didn’t work and then I managed to get the wheel working but it then had no FFB until I did a HARD reset of my console (removing power cable etc)
The thing with the wheel though, is it works absolutely fine, besides the know brake deadzone problem, until I join an online lobby. Then for some reason it has changed my DOR from 270, right up to 900. But in my settings it’s still set at 270. All the while I haven’t touched my controller.
Also I’ve had my G920 for close to 2 weeks now, lol. From PCWorld in the UK, was even on offer at £245, infact I still think it is!
Ok guys. I’ve messed around for 4 days now trying to solve this problem. I’m using the G920 wheel with turtle beach headphones. Here’s how to do it…
Turn your xbox on.
Turn on a controller and plug your headset in.
From the Home screen, use the wheel controls to sign into your gamer tag.
Now start Forza 6 and enjoy.
Yep… that simple, but it took me 4 days to work it out
