So I’ve had no problems with the Logitech G920 wheel until I join online multiplayer, I use 270 DOR for drifting due to lack of the H-pattern and it all works fine in test drive or free play, but as soon as I enter an online lobby, it somehow resets the wheel back to the factory settings, so it’s back to 720 or whatever the default is, so I back out and check my setting and it’s still set at 270, so join back in the lobby but the wheel is still at the higher DOR. Backed out and went straight into a test drive, it was working on 270. It seems a few others are experiencing this problem aswell and I’m pretty much stuck to single player with there being no hardware way to set the DOR.
Is this a known issue or does anyone know of a fix? I’m pretty bummed at spending £250 and not really being able to use it seeing as I spend most of my time drifting in multiplayer.
Nothing? This is really starting to spoil Forza for me.
Been trying to work out how this is happening, and it seems to happen when I change my car in the lobby. If I join and use the car I’m already in it’ll work on 270 DOR, but if I change my car it’ll somehow reset the wheel the 900 DOR and won’t return back to 270 DOR until I leave the lobby and go in to my settings.
I’m hoping this will be fixed with the braking deadzone glitch, as I’ve not seen anyone even acknowledge this problem!
I really hope they work this out. I was hoping the 920 could finally be the solid wheel I’d feel comfortable getting for the X-one. The others all have spotty reputations and every Logitech wheel I’ve ever bought is still as solid as when I bought it but online is where I plan to use this one most.
Yea me too! I’ve just been in a lobby without changing my car and it seems that isn’t the cause of the problem because it was still at 900, even after I back out, checked my settings, which are still at 270. Joined back in and readied straight up, game started and low and behold it’s back to 900 degrees.
I’m getting seriously frustrated with this now
Nothing at all? Not even an acknowledgement of the problem?
This game seems to be really kind of “half baked” with regard to wheels. Force feedback is an absolute mess, steering doesn’t work properly and causes a major disconnect between you and the car (for example during a drift it doesn’t behave properly or even near it, the car should all but autocorrect itself, watch professional drifters for example… They’re not battling the wheel through the whole drift, the car naturally wants to track the wheel in the direction the car is sliding in when sliding in real life in anything with 4 wheels). I don’t own the Logitech, but the Thrustmaster TX is an absolute mess in similar ways as well. It just doesn’t feel right. The car doesn’t respond right, the DOR you set isn’t saved, nothing behaves right at all. I think it’s more a Forza/Turn 10 problem than a wheel problem for sure. If you try PCARS on Xbox you’ll likely have a proper experience. Forza, it seems wheel support was a very very short noticed after thought, especially FFB wheels with 900 degrees of rotation support.
