Fun(ish) factoid - cars I've never driven

Just had a thought, after a bit of a grind through (not too bad) I’ve worked out that I’ve never driven these 15 11 cars

BMW M6 '86
C10 Slayer '65
Ferrari Dino
Fiat Dino
Crown Victoria
Mustang SVT '03
Ford XB Falcon
Jag F-TYPE SVR
Lotus Esprit '80
Mitsubishi FTO
Montero Evo
SUBARU SVX
Toyota Camry '23
VW SP-2 '76
VW DoKa '66

I don’t really have preferences, I drive whatever is least-driven for an event if I have time to figure that out - just means those are a combination of newer or unlikely car restrictions

I almost started this thread once!

it’s only 2 for me, both still marked New:

'59 Jaguar MKII
'10 Renault Megane RS 250

also never owned the OPI

I’ve driven every car at least once just to make the “new” icon disappear. Also, when it comes to cars brand new and/or returning to the game, I usually take them on a test drive and try them out in one race just to see what they’re like.

That’s pretty much what I do.

(For the record, the only cars I’ve never driven are the OPI Ford GT and the Oreo Pagani-mostly because I don’t own them grinning)

oh, yes, worth pointing out that I do have all the cars - the Ford GT OPI is pretty good, basically a better Ford GT, the Zonda Oreo is also good and ignoring the branding I do think the paint job looks good on it

the Ford Coupe FE is awful

Had to look… I have 6 I’ve never driven in my garage.
Couple Formula Drift, Couple JAAAAAAAAAGS, a few other randos and one of multitude of 911’s in the game. Have also never driven the Oreo, OPI, or FE Ford Coupe so 9 all together.

I’m curious where others fall here, I tuned nearly every car I own.. so many in fact I had to start resetting back to default because the game was chuggy in the menus.

Other qualifiers.

Zonda Oreo and Ford GT OPI are pretty good, Ford Coupe FE is dreadful

what multitude of 911s? there’s only, what . . . half the count of the cars in the game!

looking at it in Forza view is enough to remove the marker, if it’s the same as FH4 you don’t even need to get in it

Like Runoff I also got in all of them to get rid of the ‘new’ tag, I’ve probably driven almost all of the cars though, doing the tests and trying Rivals with oddball cars has taken me through a lot of them.

Off the top of my head I’m sure I’ve never properly driven the Peel P50, Polaris RZR Pro, both RJ Anderson trucks, a bunch of the Formula Drift cars, both GMC Hummers, Koenigsegg Agera and a few 911’s.

Haven’t got the OPI GT or the Ford Coupe FE, however contrary to Spirant’s comment the latter can make a niche but strong S1 CC build, has some really high up times on a small handful of the sprints.

Would be nice if they’re eventually made available like the PO cars were in FH4, I don’t think anyone who paid to obtain them initially would mind them being obtainable to everybody at this point.

well, the “as is” Ford Coupe FE is a ridiculous thing, though it might be eclipsed in ridiculousness by the Fairlady Z FE

Oh lord that thing yeah…

When I still intended to reach level 1000 in Open ages back I used the Fairlady FE to grind out the 50 drift adventures badge, thinking it would increase my XP gain in that mode in the process, even just cruising around a track with it was awful.

I personally found the 911 FE to be the only useful FE car this time around. It was certainly a lot better at Cross Country and general driving compared to horrid Fairlady FE.

On a different note, in regards to FE cars, I’m a little torn on them. On one hand, some of them have their uses and are fun to drive, but on the other hand, they all only really exist to bloat out the launch day car list. I can’t really recall getting too many advantages out of the bonuses they offered either. I honestly wouldn’t be sad to them and the Welcome Editions go in Horizon 6, but I’m certain they’re here to stay.

Several FE cars are pretty good . . .

BMW X5M FE - good from what I remember, not used it for ages
Camaro ME '69 - barely used it
Corvette '53 FE - pretty good
Viper '13 AE - good
Charger '69 FE - don’t remember it being good or bad
Exocet OR FE - not particularly brilliant
Ford Puma FE - very good
Supervan 3 DME - not used it much
Ford Coupe FE - ghastly
Lambo Sesto FE - super
Maserati GTS FE - good
#24 M-B Truck FE - very good
M-B CLK-GTR FE - not used it much
Meyers Manx FE - not used it much
MINI '65 FE - middling IIRC
Morris Minor FE - okay
Fairlady Z FE - ghastly
Pagani Huayra FE - very good
Firebird TA FE - not used it much
911 GT3 RS FE - very good
Beetle '63 FE - not great, from memory

I think for people who play the game a lot, the perks are pretty meaningless as enough currency is gained with anything

I meant to look but forgot. A couple that I’m pretty sure I haven’t driven are the Spano and Zenvo ST1, possibly also the Ascari. The VW ID4, BMW ix and i4 likely also. If these were in the series rivals I would have to look back to see though.

The 59 Jag has grown on me a lot. It has the BMW I6 and enough tire choices that it’s often pretty strong.

Spirant, many that you listed were the series rivals cars. I would count them as driven if you drove them in rivals but that’s just my opinion. There’s many that I’ve only driven there.

Edit: I’ve used the RJ Anderson pro 4 truck a lot. It’s a nice drive in CC and dirt though I don’t expect it to set too many records.

yes, just going by the “history” of the car the playlist rivals events aren’t our cars, though I presume the “random” rivals ones are (well, have to be given the use of upgrades)

I’ve hopped into every car at least for a bit to get rid of the New tag and get a promo picture if I didn’t have it, but there are plenty I’ve never driven for any appreciable amount of time. On my second FH4 save I made it a point to only take promo pictures of cars I owned, so I’ve been a lot more consistent with taking every one out for a short cruise.
