Full 4x3 and 480p support for FH5 | PS2/Dreamcast/OGXbox Port

That is something i had in mind ever since i knew Forza Horizon 5 was about to be available for PlayStation 5 via Blu-Ray Disc, Digital Distribution and Xbox’s streaming service.

I always wanted to try to emulate the actual 4x3 CRT Aspect Ratio, 480p resolution and PS2 level graphics on FH5, but i was never able to come closer. So my suggestion to Playground Games is for an update on FH5 enabling full support for 480p resolution so the game can be enjoyed by gamers that have a 480p CRT monitor in their PC.

Another suggestion i want to Make, considering Xbox IPs going multiplatform, is a huge graphical downgrade on FH5 via its Forzatech Engine so the game could be ported to 6th generation videogame consoles that still recieves plenty of second hand support from dedicated fans to this day, such as PS2, Dreamcast and the Original Xbox from 2001, as well as for the game to be enjoyed by low end PC and Windows XP users.

Just to remind, plenty of younger gamers nowadays had been playing PS2, Dreamcast and Xbox 2001 for the first time via emulation installed on PC and Smartphones.

What? lol. Where do you guys come up with stuff? Never going to happen. Lol. I really want to play it on my Commodore 64 too.

I want to be able to play it on an Atari 2600.

Is this sarcasm?

I mean, nothing is stopping you from running the game at 1280x960 and get free 2xAA while also playing at the resolution you want to play at.

This game is way too complex to run on a PS2 or OG Xbox…you can’t just turn the graphics down and say" There you go, it’ll work fine".

The closest you can get is to run the game at the lowest settings as mentioned, and running it through a suitable game-oriented video scaler to scale it down from 1280x960 to 640x480 (or even 240p.)

Even at its lowest settings the game will however go far beyond the quality of 6th gen consoles in most respects. There’s not much that could be done to make it feel truly retro since the entire game world has been designed around modern hardware. The worlds in games from the time were designed around hiding the hardware limitations.
