Friends list Drivatars - not reflecting difficulties

The patch at the start of October was supposed to fix the drivatars but unfortunately has made things worse. The problem I have is drivatars who are on my friends list don’t reflect the difficulty I want to race against. Normally I would play on highly skilled or pro difficultly but I’m having to reduce the difficulty to average just to beat my friends list drivatars which means I’m not enjoying the game as much. I had this issue on FH2 as well. sometimes the insanely fast, impossible to catch drivatar is someone on my friends list who has barely played forza games so it really makes no sense. Please can you try and resolve this. Thanks.

The whole Drivatar system is horribly broken. I honestly don’t know what was wrong with the old system when we were against the likes of M. Rossi.

I was looking forward to Forza 6 so much but can’t muster up the desire to boot it up when the AI is so unfairly skewed.

If you friends don’t reflect the drivertars diff, lowering the diff to beat your friend is useless.

The standard of the drivatar in relation to your friend’s skill is in no way connected. I have a friend who has never played Forza 6 that is consistently top 5 in the races his drivatar features in.

I remember reading somewhere that your friends are not limited by the difficulty setting, they will race according to your friend’s skill. It was in a review on gamespot or somewhere with Dan.

(not that I believe anything Dan says anymore…)

Thanks Mondochiwan, however they must still not have it right because one guy on my friends list is really good at forza but his drivatar repeatedly comes in last and others on my friends list who have barely played forza and not that good are often the drivatars way too fast.
If what you say is true in how they wanted to design it, then people who are friends with people who actually like forza would be at a disadvantage in career mode. I don’t want to make the game too easy or anything, but when it is impossible sometimes even when driving on form it’s very frustrating.

I’d read the drivatars were meant to be a reflection on said player’s behaviour rather than skill level, so if you have a friend who is aggressive and uses contact the drivatar will be more likely to do the same.

I have yet to see this, all of the opponents feel the same to me. When overtaking for example I would attempt the switchback more often than most drivers, but I doubt my Drivatar does that when racing against those that follow my Gamertag.

if you read what the update covered you would have noticed it wasnt fixed…here’s what was said about the drivatars News - Forza

Drivatars
· We continue to investigate issues involving inconsistency in Drivatar behaviors during Forza Motorsport 6 races; namely several Drivatars pulling away from the rest of the pack. To coincide with this content update, we have instituted a server-side fix that we believe will help the issue as we continue to investigate further. Stay tuned for more in the future.
· Fixed an issue where Drivatars were not taking damage when the player was driving with simulated damage turned on

i usually race on average and have actually changed to above average to mostly avoid the runaway drivatars issue…usually only get one ridiculously quick one but sometimes beat it too

Cheers. Hopefully there will be another update soon to balance things out.

I was reading through the November update and I didn’t see any mentions of this. The October update said they continue to investigate the issue and to stayed tuned for more in the future.

Did I miss something?

I was holding off completing the race series until the issue was fixed.

I’ve made the same point in my own thread about this. It’s disgusting that the problem is seemingly being ignored. This game has been out nearly 2 months and no fix for this major problem.

As of the December update the drivatars seem to have been fixed  thank you Turn10 for fixing this problem.
