Indeed it is. But I’m facepalming because people are excited over a dumbed down GT-R (which is that great of a car to begin with, it’s highly over-rated).
And the “this image is photoshopped and I know this because I’m a high paid graphic designer” crapp must be joke, right? That guy has to be trolling.
Edit: “Crapp” was censored when spelled correctly… Seriously I’m all for keeping it clean on these forums but that’s just ridiculous. I’d like to think the Forza community is mature enough for that word. But I guess not.
Arguing about cars is like arguing about who someone is attracted to. It’s a personal preference and some people make decisions based on looks alone and others for what lies beneath the surface. Look at motorsports some swear by F1 and some by Drag racing. A 200 mph in a F1 car is screaming and in drag racing it’s a yawn. What floats your boat might not float mine and you just need to agree to disagree. I’m just thankful when we get any cars to make the game better.
0-60mph in 2.7 seconds
Sub 11 seconds quarter mile
Top 1o fastest production cars ever around the ring, and of course recently the gtr nismo hit the second fastest ever around the nurburgring for a production car. The million dollar Porsche 918 is the only thing to report a legit faster lap, at 9 times the cost!
Like it or not, it was a super car slayer and redefined super car when it came out. Still 6 years later it is constantly a benchmark in performance.
The $850,000 918 Porsche is 5.6 times not 9 times the price of the $150,000 Nismo GT-R and the Porsche is a whole lot faster with a whole lot more tech. However the Radical is faster than them both with a price tag close to the Nismo GT-R. But these cars really can not be compared they are all very much different kinds of cars. The Nismo is a great car for its’ type and class but can not be compared to others in different classes.

The Porsche in question though has the Weissach package. That package is just a extra 84,000 dollars. Which brings the total cost to over 935,000 dollars.
The only street legal radical is the RXC which is 180,000+ dollar car. And completely unusable as a functional car and doesn’t meet FIA standards as a production car.
However, my math is still wrong. I would also add to your argument the nismo in question is actually more than 150k as it has a special n-attack package or some such nonsense. But still as a production car that is a real car it’s well pretty damn amazing
what amounts to a million dollar Porsche is number 1 and a 165-170k Nissan is number two. Even if it’s 12 seconds slower around the ring, think of all the 911 gt3/gt2, vipers, vette zr1/z06, lambo of every kind, every Ferrari ever tested there! It’s a pretty big achievement by automotive standards.
I’m facepalming at the (what I assume was supposed to be) “which isn’t that great of a car to begin with, it’s highly over-rated” comment. In every way we can measure a car, it passes with above average - does it better than any other car on the road scores. If you don’t like the car because it just doesn’t tickle your fancy, fair enough, but don’t act like it’s an objectively bad car, because it isn’t. I personally don’t care for the car to much, but it’s an objectively amazing car, only grade A hipsters claim it’s not that great of a car.
I wouldn’t call the Eau Rouge a “dumbed down GT-R”, if anything all signs point to it matching if not exceeding the current GT-R’s capabilities. Here’s just an snippet from an interview.
Personally, I’m super excited to see the car in the game and have a chance to drive it, and I’m not one to be huge on Infiniti.
Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to these cars! The Q50 Eau Rougue is a testament the the oversight of Johan De Nysschen. Infinti’s future is bright. I expect them to continue coming out with killer cars that will be able to compete with the best, the AMG’s, the RS Audi’s, etc.
