The DJS event lab creations are more creative than anything PGG churns out. PGG needs to hire him as Mike Brown’s replacement to let the franchise recover in quality and direction.
(By the way, he already resides in the UK)
- Yes, I want Don Joewon Song to become the new Creative Director!
- No, I want PGG to offer Mike Brown millions to come back!
- No, I want PGG to offer me the job!
- No, there is no need to backfill that position.

I mean… I wouldn’t say no
I’m extremely underqualified… I could make the staff a good cup of tea tho.

In reality they should hire Don Joewon Song as a part time consultant for Horizon 6. When they are designing the roads and terrain they can run what they’re working on past him. He can then steer them in the right direction and make it truely awesome.

With all due respect Joe is not qualified to be a game director. It’s an extremely complicated role where one is in charge of several creative leads and needs to deal with an unimaginable about of responsibility and business challenges.
He’s an excellent content creator though, should definitely be consulted on some things like how future titles can be improved upon when it comes to user generated content tools and the like. At the very least he could pick out dozens of great EventLabs for festival playlists.

Exactly. Top creators can be a valuable (but not the only) feedback vector for design teams.

He would really only be a good fit for improving the EventLab and maybe bringing his Horizon Arcade idea into fruition (basically bringing stage select into the game, which actually isn’t a bad idea since starting a race in the base game is already cumbersome and becomes more and more of a hassel the longer you play). Otherwise, we would see ourselves getting a lot of tracks with jumps that require a lot of speed immediately followed up by a sudden 90 degree turn.

So the poll options I provided did not make it clear that the whole thing is just tongue in cheek?
I appreciate the time and effort DJS and others put into eventlab creations. DJS creations are typically visually impressive based on the tools at his disposal. He also pays alot of attention to driving lines.
With that said… I personally haven’t found his creations to be any more enjoyable then other players creations. And in some cases I haven’t found them to be fun at all, just visually impressive. So no I wouldn’t want this.
What I do wish for though is that I could drive like DJS

Your poll is pretty bad btw lol. It doesn’t even have an option for choosing someone else. As it stands it’s either us, Mike Brown, DJS or no one. What about someone else who’s capable?

On a serious note I could see huge value in having an advisory panel made up solely of select Forza players including the likes of DJS. Basically make them sign an NDA, pay them a little, then tease features to them to get early feedback. Then use the same advisory board during beta testing to seek feedback prior to polishing the new game. Finally be open and prepared to take on feedback from all players post golive, and act accordingly in the months to follow.

So, we also take feedback from the crowd of people that just goes “No Chaser/Yaris/Tsuru/[insert car here], game sucks” for any update that doesn’t include said car by that logic.
I mean the fact you’re even asking such a question… If the vast majority of players all provide the same feedback then it’s worthwhile to take onboard and either fix/add. If however a very small minority give feedback on something else then in most cases no.
Wow. Did he post his résumé for review & we just missed it?
Yes, yes, yes, of course. I secretly work for PGG and found out about his resume on the bosses desk and also saw the email on his computer begging MB to name his price to come back.

Guess I should have prefaced my response with a flashing THE FOLLOWING IS INTENDED AS FULL SARCASM, PLEASE INTERPRET ACCORDINGLY, but thought that would be pretty obvious considering the comment about his lack of qualifications
My apologies. Got thrown off by the response from shadddow7395 before it, which seemed as if he/she did not grasp my sarcasm.

No worries. Think I’ll just say (for what it’s worth), I appreciate the time & effort Joe puts into his ELs & quietly exit stage left
To be fair there’s nothing farfetched with the idea of DJS applying for the role of creative director. DJS is a long time enthusiastic player of Forza who has a huge following in the context of this game. More importantly he’s suggested some great improvements to this game and the overall direction it should take and he’s obviously also quite creative.

Wow! Long time enthusiastically playing forza qualifies a person for creative director? That narrowed the applicant pool down to just 20 million people in one quick swipe of the pen!
YT content creators should do just what they do. YT stuff. That way people are free to follow, worship, or ignore them as they see fit.
I appreciate Stevio’s work he does with the treasure hunt stuff. Outside of that little bit, I personally find very little entertainment value or informative value from any YT players. Just my opinion.
