The Forza Racing Championship continued its march to Mexico City with this week’s Round 2 Wednesday Showdown. We had some compelling car and track combinations and a gorgeous 1987 Buick Regal GNX in studio to make this week’s races even more special than usual.
EMEA Region
In the EMEA Races, Laige made up for his Round 1 absence by turning in one of the most dominating performances in his ForzaRC career. We’re used to Laige winning races and not only did he win but he showed some of the most dominant pace we’ve seen yet, proving that when he wants to, no one – not Mitch, not Roadrunner, not even Series 1 champ Noble b0x – can touch him for pure pace. Elsewhere Mitch’s third place served to stake his claim as the dominant ForzaRC driver on the Williams esports team, over his teammate in Roadrunner.
North America Region
Who wants to win the most in the North America region? Early on in Wednesday’s North American races, you could might have picked one of the TX3 racers. Bilysoo claimed the win in Race 1, with Lightning taking Race 2 in convincing fashion. Now a free agent after the dissolution of the AMS team, Vanquish might have turned in the best performance, with a third place finish that could have been higher except for a penalty in Race 3. F4H Venom continued his understated success with a second place finish overall. The drama of the day was reserved for ForceOne, whose Internet issues caused him to inadvertently drop while in the lead during Race 1. Then in Race 3, ForceOne seemingly ended his race too early by turning off his Xbox and finishing with a mere 2 points in the round, leaving him with a disappointing eighth overall, despite his obvious pace.
Don’t forget that the Rivals Booster event is still open for ForzaRC Round 2 and we’ve got an oh-so-sweet 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV up for grabs for taking part!
