Just didn’t get what the whole bit about the Escort was about - Who cares ? - They’ve decided what country it is so that’s it. Just no idea what you were trying to get them to do about it with the post.
OK - you know about cars - so what ? It won’t change anything.
Only in my opinion things like that only shows how less the devs care at all. I think especially in a racing game focussed of the available amount of cars and their realistic approach the devs should at least care for having the right manufactorers or building years in their portfolio.
That’s may be some nit picking on my side - but there was never a 1965 Mini - Mini as brand was founded some years later, and like in the Forza Motorsport titles the Auto-Union historical race car should be filed under Audi. And the “Ferrari” Dino never was officially a Ferrari (that’s why it is missing the cavallino rampante). It was a brand of its own build by Ferrari using the same engine as the Fiat Dino Coupe (FH4) that was a cooperation between Fiat and Ferrari (the engine, not the Fiat Dino ;)).
And it may be a simple typo, but there was never be a 1953 Moris Minor 1000 anywhere on the world. The first one of these series was build in 1956. So it is truely only some trifles but it sums up…
Some people base pride on production, they support the products of their country not somebody else’s products so much. Personally I am proud of my country, but I like all products from all over the world, but I can see the point of only relating products to their country of manufacture in this game.
The Escort RS Cosworth isn’t an Escort anyway, it’s a Sierra Cosworth with Escort-looking body panels. The fact that PGG/Turn10 treats all Fords as American (including unique Euro/UK or Australian models like the Escort or Falcon) has been a thing for multiple Forza releases and isn’t going to change any time soon.
I really like the idea of a forza world cup but they should’ve made a tangible reward for the community to actually get behind. When the devs say a “special reward” we usually just assume its just a custom livery.
Are we locked into supporting the country of the first event’s chosen car? And does it say anywhere what your chosen country is? I’ve been away and just started tuning a bunch of random cars before I even noticed this Cup thing; I haven’t completed any playlist events yet, but Chapter 1 of the Forzathon thing is now already completed and I’ve no idea which of alll those cars I tinkered with was the one that triggered Ch 1’s completion, if that’s even a part of the Cup…
Seems like this sort of thing is best suited towards the END of the game’s life when most if not all vehicles have been made available at some point rather than so close to launch.
Do you remember what was the first car you drove in the events and what country it was from, I’m kinda thinking that is what triggered chapter 1 of the weekly?
Noo, as I said, I haven’t completed anything on the playlist yet (save for a quickie time posted for the monthly rivals). Forzathon Ch 1 completion was (presumably) triggered during a tuning/livery session of some 25-30 cars (the order of which I most certainly do not recall) before I was even aware of this Cup thing to begin with.
I just want to find out (a) if we’re locked into an initial choice, (b) does it say anywhere what said choice is, and (c) does the Forzathon chapter thing even count to begin with (rendering these concerns moot if not)?
Edit — Ah, never mind; I guess I don’t really care now that I think about it
I don’t think the Chapter 1 trigger makes the slightest bit of difference to anything…it triggered for me when I first started the game, I then did all the Championships (so various cars) before going to the Forzathon and doing all 3 races in the mercedes X-Class (hadn’t previously been in it) and the thing completed fine
It can, yes, provided events and car restrictions have sufficient forethought/planning. I was thinking that a (much) later period for the Cup would have a larger pool of (hopefully) cars to choose from, w newer desirable exclusives potentially qualifying etc (well, one would hope, anyway). Personally, I thoroughly enjoy all-things C & D, but I could understand others being less than enthusiastic for C600 events with extremely limited car selections.
Thank you. I dont think the forzathon is even mentioned as part of qualifying events, but the Ch 1 text sounded like it was (to me) and I didn’t want to waste time trying to work toward something blindly and risk nullifying my time & effort, In the grand scheme of things, just a drop in the bucket anyway so w/e.
Well I can’t be bothered doing anymore this week, just don’t get any pleasure out of driving the cars we are restricted to, the fact rhey can only be c class doesn’t help. Lol
The way I did it was did the weekly first unlocking each haptee in turn then did the trial, then did the championship road race, then the photo challenge, then the event lab, also did the monthly rivals which I think gave me enough to unlock the first car, but to be honest I don’t really want the second one the hoonican thing just doesn’t interest me so won’t be bothering with anything else, just see what next week brings.
It is blatantly obvious that the U.S.A will win this. There would be hardcore uproar if they didn’t.
Just pick any car you like.It won’t make a difference.
USA citizen living abroad and I’m happy to rep the USA in the World Cup series, but if the Trial was any measure to go on, so far Japan would be the winner with France coming in second. In almost every Trial I’ve done this season, half the cars have been the Mitsu Eclipse. In one race there were 5 Mitsubishis on my team. I’m often the only Mustang driver on the players’ team. The least represented country in the Trial has been Italy. Not sure if people don’t want to street race in a SUV or if they had used it in the seasonal championships and are just tire of it, but I’ve only encountered it twice on my team.
