…. quoted from twitter; … “We’ve taken enforcement action on a small number of players who have consistently taken advantage of or promoted the latest iteration of the “Goliath glitch” bug in Forza Horizon 4. and will continue to do so as new offenders come to light.”
“a small number” !!! I was getting invites at the rate of 1 per minute over a week … “a small number” is pathetic. I suggest that they look into any account above the rank of 001/6; I suggest that 99.9% over that ranking have been ‘at it’ … if Forza enforcement need a hand, I will gladly assist with the details of over 300 stonewallers
I didn’t even bother to look or even load up FH4 this week to play but I was getting notifications on my work computer logged into my work account on google from Youtube recomending about 3 or 4 vids to watcha vid of it. It must have been a bit more than a “small” group…
Really sad that this single exploit continues to persist despite multiple attempts to fix it.
However, the way FH4 has been designed makes these sorts of exploits much more desirable than most games due to all the grinding. If the game was actually fun to progress through instead of being such a chore for those endgame cars and exclusives (which used to be somewhat available on the AH if you had enough credits), then exploits like this wouldn’t affect the game nearly as much.
Yes, I hope the devs fix this exploit ASAP so they can then start taking meaningful action to correct the economy (if such a thing is possible at this point without resetting everything and angering the community further) and get on with improving other aspects of the game, but I do feel like the devs have unintentionally encouraged these sorts of things by the way the game has been designed.
Might be worthwhile for them to take a long, hard look at the type of gameplay they’re encouraging when it’s more fun to skip large portions of the game by cheating than actually playing. I know I’ve been tempted to look into using the glitch with the slog the endgame has become just so I can go get all those 10mil cars in the autoshow in a reasonable amount of time instead of using one of the legitimate fast credit methods that still involves hours upon hours grinding up and down the highway.
Relative to the total number of players it’s likely only a small number are egregiously abusing that particular exploit. It’s not really important, in any case.
as a percentage of the total players, it may be relatively low, but I don’t agree it’s a small number and while it is of no importance to you, it maybe more important to others
This is kind of putting words in the gift horse’s mouth.
What more do you expect? They have said that enforcement occurs and fix it when is feasable. Small mumber to them might be say one in a thousand players. Fact is that it has been publicly stated using any exploit can result in enforcement. Not much else worth saying on it.
If you have info, just report it. Let them decide the threshhold and approriate action.
This topic will get locked soon but i say it anyway. It’s ridicoulus that those actions that forza take against these players is something like 7 day online ban how many those cheaters feels bad to get 7 day ban when is still prestige 10 with level 2999 with max money and few thousand wheelspin.
Do we know what actions were taken? All we know unless peeps coming out and bragging is they could be negative 100m and only car they got is a stock beetle.
You can see what action is taken by watching it on youtube, not any youtubers is not less any levels or credits or cars only action that is taken is online ban.
Part of it could be that any punishment is determined beforehand. Cannot just arbitrarily do it. So a first offense is seven days. But hey. If youtubers are bragging and flaunting? Just report it again. Also, dont give em views. Give em a quick negative and be off.
The thing is … it’s not even a small number that have done it just since this thread started. I probably saw 10 in the last hour. Maybe what they are doing is punishing people without having closed up the exploit. They really should have made that announcement weeks ago, before it got so widespread. Just scrubbing mention of it doesn’t solve the problem. Makes it worse.
And 7 days, no cars or credits? That’s pretty much an incentive to cheat, if true. They’ll miss some playlist content and that’s it. Saved some probably hundreds of hours filling the garage and stacking CR.
Discussion of enforcement issues is not permitted in the forums. Take heed of the announcement: don’t try to exploit the game in ways it wasn’t intended, and report suspicious activity directly to the developers via the Support link above.
