Forza trolling

Lap cars going invisible in public lobbies would go a long way in solving this problem.

it stuns me that this wasn’t implemented into Forza 5. Like totally blows me away. Shows that turn 10 don’t listen and don’t care.

Also, to those guys that responded to lividbear; WOW. Despite extensive experience dealing with trolls in Forza 5, it seems like none of you have learned how to deal with them. Never react to them. COMPLETELY ignore them.

Also you guys don’t understand why they do it. They don’t want to play tag so they can crash into people until their heart’s content. The crashing into people is not their enjoyment. They do it to spoil the fun and to get a reaction. They will do this in every game they play. Lividbear will confirm this?

They want attention because they can’t get any interaction with normal people in normal ways. They are ALWAYS weird people. You know, didn’t have friends at school and what not. They tried getting attention by being good at the games but this wasn’t possible. They end up making friends with each other. Strictly ignore them, it’s the only way.

It’s nice to dream.

I agree that would be a good idea. But from what most people here are saying, it sounds like the problem they are having is fighting for the lead, and not letting people pass them, then calling bs when the person passing them knocks them out of the way and down 3 places and calls them a “troll”

Again your points are of no use. Now u are just being naive. Trolling is what we are talking about. Not fighting for first place. Rubbing is racing we all get that but purposefully hitting somebody and say it’s ok is just dumb.

If you pay attention to their friends list when blocking and reporting you find that 90% of them have no friends and usually no followers also. Those that do have friends I have looked up and most have been others I have blocked and reported. Trollers Nvr gain friends unless it’s their own kind.

I think Horizon 2 may help a bit. IMO it will appeal more to the crasher/troll types than FM5. Come September and the flame is lit all the bugs will go that way and stop troubling us. And keep the block hammer going…there are 2 million people that have played FM5(from the Prague leaderboard) and I reckon I must be blocking 5-10 a day at least. I should have the problem solved in about 20 years:)

Doppelganger!

i think trolls have invaded the post now how can someone jump in and say its fun to knock the guy out of race in front of you who cares its only a game!! well being knocked of anywhere in a race regardless of position is not my idea of fun in a simulation racing game yes if its accidental that does happen from time to time and i have found that genuine guys hang back and give your position back or apologise this is not trolling that is sporting

Yes I’m a “troll” by your definition - which is someone who doesn’t conform to your elitist idealisms. And by the way, it is only a game!

The fm5 community is crap. I’m pretty sure it has a lot to do with it being a launch game for the one. Ign stated that half of the one users have played it. It’s just a bunch a kids that have no actual interest in raceing games. The fm6 community will most likely be better. I have very high hopes for Project CARS - YouTube

It’s too hard to kick them and it is a pain to set up anything on your own. The trolls have always been there and now there are more of them. It’s just next to impossible to kick them to curb the behavior. Most people are followers, if a lobby is full of racers they will race and if it is full of crashers they will crash. We can’t kick the crashers so that is what we have…or you guys, I don’t think I’ve entered a lobby since March.

I really wish posts like this weren’t around. Not because what worm said isn’t true but because it is. Yes we can all block and report these guys (I do), but your just passing these guys off to other players that have to deal with them. I know plenty of people and this forum is a perfect example of this that don’t play anymore strictly because of this… The game is 8 months old and 1000s of people are only playing this game sparingly or not at all. I will keep doing what I do in the hoppers with blocking and reporting but I feel like 99% I’m just pushing dirt around until I decide to sweep it under the carpet. Yes the dirt is there but since I don’t see it at the moment it doesn’t exist. Not everybody is willing to sweep it under the rug, most give up and throw the broom away.

Or they play swords with the broom and the cycle continues.

If Forza is a racing game, how is it that “crashers”, “trollers”, whatever you call them have “taken over” the online gameplay of Forza 5? Are the only fifty or so “true racers” that have posted here on this thread, the only people who actually know how Forza 5 should be played? Why doesn’t Turn 10 include an owners manual with the game to explain to everyone how they are supposed to play the game?

No most have quit playing because of trollers. They shouldn’t have to tell you or anybody else that this is a sim racer not demo derby. I would think people that get this game would know how to race and the unwritten rules of it. But apparntly not.

I seriously doubt a large chunk of gamers have quit because of trolling. I have yet to see anyone intentionally trolling out of my 100 or so multiplayer matches. If you cannot handle a troll to wreck one in every thousand of your games than why not either play the career or set-up private lobbies?

You dont race online alot… Its more like 1in5 rooms there a Troll. 1 in 1 rooms somebody trying take you out in every corner. This is a racing game not mario kart.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying. It’s a game - if you want to be a “professional” gamer, set up a private lobby with the other people on this thread.
