Good Luck all!
Congratz on the win Chevy, I was planning on getting back to this as I only tried the one car by ran out of time sadly (busy weekend).
Had some fun with the Trident though and ended up with a 3.13.9 (probably left a second or two out there tbh as it was a scappy run).
This new one should be interesting, can’t remember the last time I used the Transit.
Good luck guys ![]()
March 23. Go to the hills around Chihuahua circuit. The monarch butterfly animations are worth the price of admission.
Thank you and congratulations on a wonderful time at Peel. How do you do it? Lol
Thank you sir but i’m pretty sure if you had used the Trident and not the P50, you would of hit a 1.10 or better.
I forgot to look for another one! I only have a p50 ![]()
Yesterday I had an hour so I went to look for a car in D and C.
This old Transit in C class can be done under 500hp. Since there is a lot of straight road, power can make a big difference
If anyone wants to check it out, I left Morris traveler in D class. It won’t be the best car On this route, but it’s pleasant.
RIP Chuck ![]()
I saw the Peel challenge, went to the garage, and all I saw was a P50. I thought, and was even certain, that the Trident was a very rare car and hard to find, so I wouldn’t look for it and would just take the P50 for the race (because it’s better than nothing). Today I started the game and remembered about the Trident. Okay, maybe I’ll be able to buy it. I went to the auction house, and there were about 30 Tridents there, loooooooool. “It’s always better to check than to insist that you can’t.”
haha, I’ve done it myself, a few times !!. It’s better now though, as you can buy ALL cars from the AH (except car pack cars of course).
I’m guessing it’s and “end of life” thing.
Re: the Morris Traveler;
Yeah I thought that too, I picked it purely as a pace car… but annoyingly, I keep beating my time with it, so keep on using it.
Right after the Traveler I took the Subaru Brat. I had to do 9 laps to improve my time and not too much. I haven’t improved my time (in the Traveler) driving VW Doka and Pickup, I’m not sure if there are more cars in this category. I always picked up cars carelessly and I could have skipped some!
I hope we all meet in Forza Horizon 6 and continue competing on completely new tracks, sharing our experiences.
That’s why my request is: maybe we don’t save our results in Rivals right away. To make the fun of driving in Rivals and seeing the results on the leaderboard last longer, could we start with stock cars? Or perhaps with lightly tuned cars at the beginning, for example up to B680? A770? And so on?
I put this together in the hope that we might find a Saturday to get on the headsets and run with each other once in while in FH6. We’ll see how fast you are when I’m providing comedy relief commentary and driving like Pastor Maldonado’s fat cousin. ![]()
I don’t remember if Rivals had to be unlocked by completing base game challenges first, but if it was and will be the same in 6, stock cars should let us earn some game credits from rivals while keeping the fastest tunes fresh for the forum challenges.
Here’s an interesting thing. I maxed out all the stock options on the Citroen DS with AWD conversion, no aero. It took the car to A757 or so. It won’t win any prizes but it goes around the last right hand corner at the El Stadio circuit effortlessly. It’s so composed there I kept running losing (-6s) rivals laps just to be amazed by it in that turn. SC: 172 963 392
I’m guessing this latest challenge is ending soon, so as I couldn’t beat my standing time in C class, I took a screenshot of my transit time:
Comes out at 1.10.604, could of possibly shaved a couple of tenths off but tbh, I was having fun in the little Wuling Sunshine in the D class challenge.
I’ve only used it previously as a pace car but it’s quite a capable little car/van.
I’ll post the results tomorrow; I was at the computer and forgot to take a screenshot.
Let’s do a new challenge:
Estadio - Class D
Cars are in the graphics below!
Good luck!
If someone has an idea for another car, we will be very happy to add it.
Sorry for disappearing for the last couple weeks. A lot has happened one of which I’ve been working on a automotive software suite for Android, Windows and Linux. The Android app will be on the google playstore soon. Here is a Android internal dev build for testing if you want to check it out.. https://expo.dev/accounts/cliffrw209/projects/vehicle-dyno-app/builds/deef292f-a198-4151-a933-ba76743afb57
I would have to justify an Intune-MDM change to sideload this. I tried it on an older phone but get a parsing error, no doubt due to the ancient version of Android on it. Let us know when its in the play store. Will it need a USB to ODB2 cable?
