Hello Forza Community.
I’m now hosting my second even in Forza Motorsport 3 call Grudge Fest. Grudge Fest is based on a real life racing event that is held at multiple drag strips all over the U.S. If you have seen the T.V. show Street Outlaws, you will get a pretty good idea about what Grudge Fest is. Bur for those of you who don’t know, Grudge Fest is Drag Racing for all cars from street cars to full race cars. Competing old style street racing, no dial-ins or score boards just heads up racing. If you like street racing with a side of gambling this is the race for you. Grudge racing is s form of drag racing where you call somebody out and make a bet that you can beat them. You then lay it on the line in an all or nothing heads-up drag race. If you lose a grudge race you have the option of double-or-nothing. Even though this is like a street race, there are rules.
Rules:
- Don’t Jump - Leaving or taking off before the signal to “go” is given will result in an automatic loss.
- Stay in your lane - Crossing the center line will result in an automatic loss.
- No overpowering your opponent - You can’t just call someone out that you know is 10x slower then you. You can only call someone out that has a car with similar amount of horsepower as your car.
-Example: If my car has 900hp. I can only call someone out that has a car with a minimum of 880hp or a maximum of 920hp. In other words at least 20hp under or 20hp over. Rule #5 is the only exception to this rule. - You can only race someone that has the same tire compound as your car. No Exceptions (Street, Sport, or Race)
- If you are going to race someone slower then you, depending on how much horsepower their car has, they will be given a small head start.
Tips for Grudge Racing:
- Never assume you’re faster (Those old cars may have a big motor hidden under all that rust)
- Never Race When Your Gut Says No (Your gut is always right)
- Always Listen And Learn (Many have raced before you and have knowledge you might like to know)
- Have Fun (Remember racing is supposed to be fun, not a chore)
- Trash Talking (you can trash talk all you want but you better be able to back up what you say)
Grudge fest will be held every Friday and Saturday: Official Start Date – Friday April 4th and Saturday April 5th. For more info on how to enter please e-mail me or message me on Xbox Live.
