Forza Motorsport track list discussion

Oh, don’t worry….not many people will be around to see Road Atlanta return anyways….with the added bonus that the Cadillac is completely useless in game currently. It can’t reach the top of P class and can’t be downgraded to R (without the extremely annoying drag tires). There’s no where to race it outside of free play. Useless for rivals as well.

OT: is anyone going to be around long term to see some of these track ribbons/layouts return? I’m all for returning layouts but at the rate Turn 10 is going, i don’t think the novelty will last that long.

The Bugatti circuit is the biggest head scratcher for me, out of all of them. Extremely popular back in the earlier FM days but still missing here.

I understand any layout that doesn’t have a pit lane access but the others i don’t. I think more sub-contractors will be needed to fill the track update needs. Clearly they don’t have enough in-house resources considering this took 6 years.

We know 2 of them; Yas marina and the green hell. What’s the third one? Or did I miss something?

For december, not confirmed which one yet. But yeah, it will be a free update.

Honestly extremely happy to know it’s coming, would be happy if they double the career content with these updates as well. Need at least a few that chain cars to drive. Having to change cars every series sucks, need more for sure. Hopefully an endurance race is added too, or the ability to make longer race events

Bored of all the tracks after a few hours of playing, how can they release this with so few tracks when we had loads in previous games, games gone completely backwards

Completely agree, hence my previous post. Nürnberg has been the only track capable of keeping my attention, and running time trials on my own without getting bored of the game

I’m very disapointed by the absence of the Nordschleife (Nurburgring), very… That one should not be absent in a racing game, it’s near to ridiculous. It’s all I had to say.

I believe that’s one of the most complex tracks they would have to rebuild from scratch to ensure that all future dynamic features work as intended. Personally, I would be more than willing to pay for premium DLC that includes Targa Florio. Or any historic track pack.

I was disappointed as soon as I saw it, 20 variations missing amongst the ones that are here doesn’t help either.

I’ve mentioned Project CARS 2 a couple of times in the past on this topic but it’s such a stark comparison when you consider how much of an advantage T10 has/should have in terms of resources available, I have just popped on PC2 now to take a look first hand and I have just scrolled through 53 separate locations (though some of those are just historic versions of current tracks), and I don’t own any DLC for PC2 which includes more locations.

Even discarding the Rallycross locations there’s 46, and it looks clear to me that SMS being based in the UK used that to their advantage to get several British tracks licenced, Snetterton, Donington, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park the closest race track to me and one I have actually been around, Knockhill, Brands Hatch and the Rallycross course Lydden Hill (where Top Gear went).

Algarve, Brno, Fuji, Imola, Oschersleben, RB Ring, Ruapuna Park, Sugo, Willow Springs, Zhuhai, Zolder, all tracks that have never been in FM.

I don’t agree with them being classed as separate in PC2 but historic tracks, Spa, Silverstone, Monza, Hockenheim.

There’s even 2 fictional point to point locations that are around 12 and 13 miles each respectively.

But the saddest courses to look at are ones that FM did have but this new game doesn’t, I’m looking at a 2017 game made with a far smaller budget and seeing Bathurst, Brands Hatch, COTA, Daytona, Hockenheimring, Long Beach, Monza, the obvious one the Nordschleife and Sonoma.

There are also a few variations in PC2 that are either absent in the new FM or haven’t even been in the series full stop, Silverstone’s Stowe, the Mullenbach at the Nurburgring which I had honestly never heard of until looking at it just now, Le Mans Bugatti and Catalunya’s School circuit.

Hoping for FM to have matched that track location count would be totally unreasonable, but I don’t care how much better the graphics are than PC2 I refuse to believe that 20 (with 20 missing variations amongst them) is the best T10 could do with what should be available to them, in the early to mid 2000’s 20 locations would have been a good number, but are we not supposed to have progressed 15-20 years + 2-3 console generations from back then?

It should at the very least have been equal or close to FM7 in my opinion, my idea of progress is not going from 32 (33 if you include the pointless Test Track Airfield) locations all the way down to 20 however much higher the graphical quality is.

Project Cars 2 remains one of my favorite racing games, and I was an early backer. It’s incredible what Ian Bell managed to achieve with a relatively small team. The screenshots he has posted of his upcoming game look absolutely stunning.

Unless they’re using photogrammetry. Those arent from an Ingame engine.
Those visuals are possible. But it needs photogrammetry and usually runs on stuff like UE5. Which If I remember correctly, isnt a good driving engine.
If that is actual in engine footage. It makes T10 and PD look they’re stuck in 2011.

Also the word “Clown ’ s” is a monitored word on here.

We are at a point where Turn10 needs to start releasing the free DLC circuits they have been talking about.

Every series in Drivers’ Cup is the same 5 or 6 circuits with only 1 or 2 of them being a real location. It is tedious.

Im happy with the quantity and the selection. First I thought It was too North America oriented but I have been enjoying the minor US tracks like Mid Ohio, Watson Glen and Lime Rock.

Apparently after the sim racing boom with covid the track owners have turned greedy and want silly money for the licenses.I would welcome some European minor/aged tracks like Vallelunga , Madrid - Jarama or Jerez.

I only really miss Brands Hatch, Imola and Paul Ricard.

To be honest once I have turned off the race line for good suddenly I have so much to learn that I’m OK with a slow trickle of circuits.

Every month they will be

They are apparently using ue5 for graphics and their own in house audio, physics, etc. ETA is q4 2024, or “when it’s done”.

Those were never in any Forzas to my knowledge.

I think for most other aspects of the game we would all be very happy with FM if T10 were still like they were in 2011 now.

Imola and Paul Ricard have definitely never been in the series by the way, it’s just the self proclaimed non Forza fan demonstrating exactly that once again.

Oh I agree. I just mean graphics wise specifically. They really havent pushed the graphical bar in the past decade, despite what they and many layman would like you to believe. As evidenced by that gentlemans post.
