Forza Motorsport 7 Features Wish Lists

I think they should add the Rocket bunny kits for both the ND miata( the newest), and the one for the original NA miata. as well as the kit for the 350Z/ Fairlady Z
I also think the should add the Liberty Walk kits for the following: The Maserati GranTurismo, The audi R8 The Lamborghini Gallardo, and the Lamborghini Huracan

I am in agreement with 99% of other recommendations previously posted on this thread but I have yet to see any that appeal to the guys who still like playing good old fashioned split screen, on the couch with friends, competition in this game. I cant tell you how annoying when I was overseas and didn’t have internet access that these few things were:

  1. As a guest player you cant use the master accounts custom made cars.
I had friends sit for hours customizing paint schemes and tunes on cars only to find out that there was no point in them doing so because in order for us to actually race they had to choose a “rental” car… this is not cool. I assume that anyone who plays this game is into cars… that being said why would anyone want to drive a bone stock ANYTHING? lol

  2. The weird front bumper view opposed to the cockpit view
I have no idea why Turn 10 decided that in split screen there was no use for the driver seat camera view… that’s where a big majority of gamers do their racing and having to drive from the front bumper really took away from the driving experience and sometimes made me not even bother with playing because it just wasn’t the same.

  3. Only 2 players accessible
I know that the whole “split screen” gaming is starting to become a thing of the past but my question is WHY? theres plenty of people out there who still love sitting on the couch with the boys, cracking a cold one, and turning some laps in a home-made tournament bracket, or 4 racers at once. lets have 4 player split screen again.

aside from those complaints based on couch gaming I would really like to see 2 more things in Forza 7

  1. Car gifting
Car gifting was just fun. “hey bro I know youre having trouble winning drag races heres a 98 Camaro that can run 8.6 seconds in the quarter.”

  2. The marketplace
why was this even taken out??? this was a great feature! I get it you implemented the “tunes” and the “designs” but in the end youre still not getting the all together car. cut out the middle man and bring back the market place it makes it easier for everyone.

Hi guys,

I’m new to the forum. I’ve only ever played FM6, FH3 and pre-ordered FM7. One thing that clicked to me yesterday in the demo is that we should have an app on our phone/tablet to display the dashboard. Now hear me out, Fallout 4 has an app for apple and android where you can actively see the pip-boy, access it and make changes. The app doesn’t need to have each specific car’s dashclock, just speed, revs, gears, times, tire wear, basically the basics. The device can be placed closer to you and would be, in my opinion, better (subjective) since the dash in the cockpit view is still small unless you have a large screen.

What do you guys think?

Just played the demo and once again there appears to be no way to play the cars as they come from the factory i.e. full of electronics or not. If I chose a GTR I want the GTR experience, not guessing what the driver aids may be and sticking on ABS, TC and maybe something else to get it to drive like a GTR or what I guess a GTR would handle like.

I normally drive with all aids off and sim steering in Forza but just very occasionally I stick TC on and think ‘am I cheating?’ but then I also think ‘but I’m in a GTR what does it really handle like?’

Companion app - garage management, painting, upgrade/tuning, sharing/editing pics/replays, rear view mirror, track map, auction house, leaderboards.

The above are all good ideas, if there was a companion app I would like to see the following.

A feature that would would read and display the telemetry data from a lap in TEST DRIVE on any circuit in the app, be it an xbox and/or pc windows app, or mobile.

Ie
•What the Maxium, Minimum and Average Camber was on that lap.
•peak tyre temps
•Maximum, minimum and Average Spring compression and expansion.
•Incorparate away to efficiently tune DAMPING, from data gathered from the track.
•This would make the tuning feel like more of a professional process and would encourage more people to tune.

I’m aware that I could try and read the data on screen in game or try and watch a reply, but this can prove to be extremely time consuming, and an out of date feature. It could really do with modernizing.

In all seriousness, they do tend to drop towards end of business for the day. This one might be tougher to call as it’s likely to have a good deal of information in it.

Maybe they’re finally, after ten long years, ready to reveal the Hieronymus Car Pack.

  1. Allow swapping the face buttons with the D-Pad
Especially on a wheel, I’m driving stick shift and the face button are what turn my head to see left, right, and behind the car. But if I need to shift, I can’t turn my head! If the face buttons could be swapped with the D-Pad, I could use my left hand to turn my head while my right hand moves the shifter.

  2. Virtual mirror in cockpit view (and the new dash cam)
The current views are sometimes pulled up so far that I can’t see the rear view mirror at all.

  3. FOV, POS, and height adjustments in all views
This is most critical for cockpit, but since that’s probably the most difficult view, why not just do it for all of them?

Upgrade screen info

Image from the September 22 Week in Review:

This screen should include:

  • Current Aspiration (super, turbo, or natural, maybe even Electric)
  • Displacement size in “L / cid”
  • Drivetrain in text form (RWD, FWD, or AWD)
and name of the Division using these homologation rules, especially considering all that wasted space above the words “race engine block.”

The information also doesn’t indicate if the limits are maximum or “must equal”. This design would be especially counter-intuitive if a division required tire compound to be exact while allowing tire width to vary under the limit. If the limits are all “no greater than” then add the word Maximum to the left of Restriction. A more intuitive title for the “New” column would be “Installed” to match the icon.

More tick marks on the HP/torque graph axis lines would also be helpful, and it would be nice if this graph was standardized instead of switching ranges based on the particular engine.

Need to add in the option to Save the lobby setup in multiplayer.
Something so simple that will help the growing Forza racing communities out there when they make detailed race series that can take a lot of time to setup. We run race series that can span 5, 6 or more weeks and setting up player buckets for car classes or just to add some handicaps for parity can be time consuming. Being able to save this and only change the track and laps each week will make more time for racing. We had this in FM2, FM3 and FM4.

A simple toggle switch, a single button press from Metric to Imperial in the tuning menu.
While the US is the only country still using Imperial measurement with the rest of us using Metric some of our own measurements still are Imperial. In Australia we don’t see BAR but use PSI or Kpa. Power is commonly measured in KW but HP is still commonly used. Restriction on cars in game such as weight are measured in pounds so build a car for that event requires a conversion of having to switch the games units over then back once done. A simple button press while tuning or building will make it easy.

More restrictors for GT and other race cars.
Not just bigger restrictor plates as upgrades but smaller ones for downgrades. Unsure how the new homologation rules will work but will see in a weeks time.
10 restrictor plates. The car starts at one of those. eg: Audi R8 at #3 and Ford GT at #7 with the Aston at #8. You can either upgrade the Audi OR downgrade the Aston. Get all cars around the GT3 speeds rather than forcing the GT3’s to become GT1’s. Simpler than using the handicaps in multiplayer.
Project Cars had the ability to close or open a restrictor on the GT race cars.

Full multiplayer setting available for Free Play.
The ability to setup the lobby for single player races like a multiplayer race. Great way for communities to test a multiplayer race without going online.

Point to Point racing.
Rally De-whatever, Fujimi and Nurburgring. Point to point was a great addition in FM3 and FM4. Drift and hill climb on a point to point track was the best. Could also include other hill climbs on current tracks like Bathurst. Yeap, hill climb from turn 3 up to Skyline or start down Conrod Straight and race up the Essess to Skyline. Check out the Nulon Nationals.
Short runs like drag racing but very different builds and tunes needed.

Forza Aero front splitter on aftermarket front bumper.
Adjustable aero needs a fix.
1st, if aftermarket aero is adjustable in real life make it so in-game even if the downforce is not as much as the Forza aero.
2nd, add the front splitter to an aftermarket front bumper. Add 2 versions of the aftermarket front bumper or just allow the splitter to fit stock and the aftermarket.
3rd, the return of some of the old Forza aero. That huge Forza rear wing on the Hennessey Venom back in FM4 looked perfect while the standard GT style wing can look out of place on some cars, look at the wing on the new Ford GT… So out of place.

Adjustable Stock Brakes.
Any race car that come standard with adjustable bakes even with steel rotors should still be adjustable in tuning. Adding the carbon rotors can add braking but should be unnecessary on the majority of the race cars.

Downgrades.
Yeap, downgrades. Swap the Mustang’s V8 for the EcoBoost 4? Why not. Racing a Mustang in a race against 4 cylinders would be cool. Maybe a V6 over the V8…
Falcon XR8 with a straight 6 swap. Turns one car into many with more that just upgrades. The VL Commodore can take a straight 6 so can be reclassified as a 6 where the event requires a 6 cylinder over an 8. While it was a glitch in FM4 we could sell off turbos and superchargers on some cars to make them NA.
And FWD swaps. Audi offer the TT as FWD in some markets so why can’t we swap some of the AWD/4WD cars to FWD where the engine layout would allow it in real life (east west layout). FWD Evo? Unsure if the Focus ST is gone but if so FWD swap the RS where needed.

Multicolour rims.
Rims with 2 or more pieces should have the option to allow for different colours.

No Ultra wide Support? Come on please. I preordered and just tried demo.
Plus the whole screen shakes when the card bumps. Hope Ultra wide support and fixes are done before release

Would love to see a driver ranking system that takes racing etiquette into acct. One that makes it hard to recover from being a crasher, some long lasting penalties to the driver ranking. Maybe even a negative impact on income. I can only imagine if all the crashers were stuck in the same lobbies while the real players were having a blast without them!

Please T10 take in consideration the following features for patch Forza 7 /new games:

  • Race flags (blue, yellow and red flag)
  • Practice and qualifying sessions
  • Race rules (penalties)
  • Formation laps and safety car
  • More detailed tuning options

Again, and again, forza has arcade physics.
Unfortunately this is not a game for the steering wheel driving, unfortunately the rumors about the fact that the T10 bought physics from Kunos Simulazioni turned out to be untrue.
it’s sad.
The only thing that pleases in fm7, is the sound of engines that has become better than in fm6

Please add the Storefront system from Forza Horizon 3:

You probably don’t need elaboration on why this feature is desired but incase you’re curious here goes:

Forza Horizon 3 did a very good job regarding this. Every player had their own Storefront screen that others could look up, where you could view every Vinyl Group, Design, Tune or Photo they have shared. You could follow your favourite creators to have a list of bookmarked Storefronts, and push their Designs and Tunes to the front of the Recommended Designs/Tunes section when you’re looking to customise your car. All of that was great; it was simple to understand, navigate and also gave content creators a very easy way to inform people of where to find their “work”.

A bit late for a Forza Motorsport 7 wishlist. Probably skipping 7 because from what I have seen up until now there are no appealing improvements to me.
Forza to me (and a lot of players) is mostly about taking ordinairy cars and converting them to race or drift cars, and since there are no improvements in that part of the game I can better save money and keep playing Motorsport 6.

But still, here is my wishlist for updates in Motorsport 7 (marked with •) which are doable in a relative short period of time that may make me think of buying 7.
The other ones are aimed towards a possible future installment in the franchise.

Modification:

  1. Racing aero parts
    • Flat/Sculpted floor
    • Extra/new wings (eg. swanneck, rear mounted)
  • DRS
    • Extra/new splitter
    • Diffusers
  • Front bumper aero (stock, canards, smooth/no foglight etc.)
  • Widebody
  • Extra/new hoods (eg. air opening, hoodpins)
  1. Mechanical parts
  • Wheel spacers
  • Steering angle
    • Tyres (eg. full slick, wet, hard/soft compound)
  • Balast
  1. Weight reduction parts
  • Remove interior (actually visible remove the interior)
  • Racing dash (eg. flocked dash, digital speedo)
  • Race steering wheel
  • Bucket seat
  • Windows (with the little sliding window)
  1. Engine parts
  • Exhaust muffler (visual opgrade)
  • ECU
  • restrictor plates
  • Intake (carb, ITB, injection)
  • Electric engine upgrade (in case of hybrids)
  • Turbo boost controller

Tuning:

  • Visual windtunnel
  • Data logger
  • Balast placement (class restictions)
  • Fuel amount
  • Engine restriction (class restrictions)
  • ECU (eg. timings, rich/lean fuel)
  • Turbo boost

Visuals:

  • Banner on windscreen (+ allow sticker placement)
  • Stickers on rear-side + back windows
  • Caliper color
  • Rim color (rim/hub separate)
  • Sticker on plastic parts
  • Sticker/paint aero parts

Gameplay:

  • Active pitcrew
    • Post race stats (eg. laptime) also in splitscreen mode

Fysics:
• Rain/Dry vs. slick/wet

These are the updates I would like to see to Forza 7.

  1. VR update for PC players. Oculus Rift support.

  2. No tranny damage when double downshifting while rev matching with the H pattern shifter. Penalize controller players for not rev matching while downshifting by unsettling the chassis. This is a fairness issue.

  3. Similar difficulty for controller and wheel users when using Normal steering setting. Wheel users should not have a much more difficult experience when playing the game vs controller players. The lift throttle physics need to be identical regardless of controller type. You can’t have controller player not experience any lift throttle oversteer while wheel players have an undrivable car on their hands every time they lift off the gas pedal. Make an easier Normal steering mode for wheel players. Again this is another fairness issue.

  4. Improve Simulation steering mode to be more realistic for both controller and wheel players instead of just making all cars more tail happy. Just because a car is more realistic doesn’t mean it is impossible to drive. I know cars that are easier to race in real life compared to simulation steering in Forza. Normal steering mode in the game with wheels feels like simulation matching real life.

  5. This could fix both 3 and 4. Normal steering is closer to imitating realistic driving physics like real life cars. Perhaps make Normal wheel steering physic the same as Simulation wheel steering mode and make Normal wheel steering physics easier while keeping Normal controller steering and Simulation controller steering the same. Basically bump up Normal wheel physics to Simulation. Make a new algorithm for Normal wheel steering that is easier (basically has less lift throttle oversteer). Throw away the current simulation wheel steering physics. Leave controller Normal and Simulation steering the same. That would be an good way to balance out the game.

RX7 TwerkStallion with “stock” 13B motor.

Why can’t you do what you can do?
